While most comments will remain posted if they are on-topic and not abusive, moderating decisions are subjective. We will make them as carefully and consistently as we can.

All readers who come to New York Times articles through links on Google+  and other social media will be able to read those articles, for free, whether or not they are a New York Times subscriber and even if they have reached their monthly reading limit.
