How in the....how did you get the distortion right?? Is this all Nuke trickery!?
don't you know anything yet
I'll take that as a resounding "yes" then, hahaha
Oh hello, sonic's marketing team.
Naw, just trying to come up with a clever reason to get somewhere fast that didn't involve pooping my pants 😅💩
*Here
😕
Was the ball cgi, was that on accident, or trial and error until it was done right?
The original ball in the movie? I'm not sure. This was hand tracked to follow the ball's path. The rotation was the hardest thing to get to look even somewhat natural
HEROES*
D'oh!
EDIT: Fixed - https://i.imgur.com/xCCSBWu.gifv
I can't remember where, but I found a library of 2D images of upvotes, downvotes, etc. Is there a library of reddit-related 3D models? How can I get?
I made it in Element 3D, it's pretty easy, you just make a layer mask and extrude it, then fiddle with some of the settings like the depth and bevel and a while bunch of render options
Cool. Thanks!
No problem! You're also always welcome to join us on the Discord!
Was chopping it up. You can briefly see it here at the bottom of the screen, the green lingering shape from the arrow.
I've seen this when rending with transparency (sometimes called an alpha channel). I did this accidentally last night. My primary suggestion would be to make your comp size the size of the video without the letterboxing and make sure whatever you are using to export/encode your gifs doesn't have transparency/alpha on unless you need it
Understood. I've seen people regularly exporting their gifs from Photoshop rather than from Premiere. Would you recommend that as well ?
edit: Ok. So I just noticed you can upload .mp4 on imgur. And now its just confusing, because its just better quality as such and lower file size. Why would I export in animated GIF in this scenario.
edit 2: ok its for video files below 30 sec.
PhotoShop can be great, GifSquid/Cuddlefish or GifTuna are also very excellent converters
Whats the OC?
That flickering on the text is the shhhhhhiiiiiitttttttttt!!!!!!!
Did you use After Effects or something else? I really would love to learn how to make smth like this 🙂
Yep, After Effects with Element 3D plugin!
Speaking of which, what happened to Valkyrie?
Ironically, celebrating with /r/Cinemagraphs
and the tag says 796k... sorry
I made this earlier today as a response/followup to the "Did you hear the tragedy of OC" post. There are elements from it if you look closely.
Seeing them back to back gave me a laugh. * Happy to share.
PS: Thanks to u/soupyhands for his help in making this gif complaint.. compliant with the sub.
edit: Ok that reddit server downtime was the real tragedy of OC.
Yes I get the green arrow let down. Honestly it was designed for reddit though, you can tell since its a followup that started here. For my first two gifs I just used the green and red upvotes downvotes that matched the lightsaber colors of a scene i used.
*Trying to format it to post it here actually.
Haha its all good! I've always thought the Reddit upvote and downvote colors were a weird choice personally (but I came from Imgur first)
Did you make this? Because I need it
You...you want to eat cold beans and watch the game?
Great job on this one.
Special shoutout to /u/WardCannon who also killed it on this scene

Awesome! Nice job Ward! I realized after I rendered it that it didn't work nearly as well without sound and had to chop it down like crazy so it didn't just look broken
Came for an explanation about the flower. Still unsure.
Seconded
Now you’re making this a game of knifey spoony?
It's weird now seeing Jake Peralta with shaggy hair.
Wait, an upvote going down?
SpaceX ones do both, that's what makes them so cool
I’m confused. Am I meant to upvote or downvote the post? Should I upvote while scrolling down?
I'd say do whatever you're the most comfortable with, though I do like your idea of upvoting while scrolling down
