I guess has been suspended because meditated some more and decided that he needs that username to reach the next spiritual level. It must be something completely ridiculous. There’s no other explanation on this platform.

3.1 is here and brings some great new features: conditional fields, direct file selection and upload from a textarea, srcset support, user search and a lot more. Check out the release notes: ✨

This is the map of global protests and German politicians still think that those students don’t know what they are doing and should go back to school. I have no words.

Almost two decades of being a developer didn’t affect my fantastic ability to edit the wrong file and being shocked why my code doesn’t work as expected.

I try to take that as a personal lesson to be less anxious about trends in the future. Let's see how that goes :)

Trends pass by. Solving real issues for your clients/customers never gets old. The first two month of Kirby 3 have been the most successful for us by far. We increased our sales by 100% and the future looks pretty good.

It sounds so trivial, but it really isn't. Tech trends feel like what you need to do to stay relevant, while at the same time they might not mean anything to your customers.

It completely switched our focus away from "what do we need to do to keep up with current trends" to "what do we need to do to make our customers happy"

Those are our most loyal customers and we had a chance to spend months with them in very close and honest conversations, doing nothing else but talking about their wishes and what they need in this new version.

I didn't realize this at first, but having our "Kirby next" crowdfunding campaign and a Slack group with all our supporters turned into the best thing that could have ever happend to us.

Here’s a little personal thread, because I just read one of those „The future is …“ tweets again. While working on Kirby 3 for two years, I was getting very anxious that we fall behind current trends and once the new version will be out it won’t be good enough to keep up.

I love this quote by „The best way to be at the top of your field is to choose a very specific and narrow field“

This tweet made me wonder: if we actually printed the dependencies of a "hello world" create-react-app app, how tall would the stack of paper be? Let's calculate.

Probably the first non-asshole „you are not a real developer“ tweet I‘ve ever seen.
