European probe set to land on Mars

The European Space Agency is set to land its Schiaparelli probe on the surface of Mars on Wednesday afternoon. The probe is equipped with sensors and drills to search for life. The probe follows the Beagle-2 lander, which failed to activate after landing on Mars in 2003.
