EU Commission to discuss Canada trade deal

The EU Commission is to discuss on Wednesday the trade agreement between Canada and the EU ahead of the EU-Canada summit on 27 October, a commission spokersperson said. Approval by the member states is still pending. One of the obstacles is Canadian visa requirements for Bulgarian and Romanian citizens. Asked on the progress on the issue, the spokesman said: "Contacts are ongoing, let’s see tomorrow."
