EU leaders to attend Peres funeral

French president Francois Hollande, German chancellor Angela Merkel, Dutch prime minister Mark Rutte, and Lithuanian president Dalia Grybauskaite will attend the funeral of former Israeli leader Simon Peres in Jerusalem on Friday. EU Council president Donald Tusk, German and Latvian presidents and Austrian and Portuguese foreign ministers are also attending. EU foreign service chief Federica Mogherini said Wednesday the best tribute to Peres would be progress on a two-state solution.
