History[edit]
Fox Interactive was formed in May 1994, headed by former Time Warner Interactive executive Ted Hoff, and was an operating unit of Fox Filmed Entertainment, a News Corporation company.[1] The company published, developed and produced games mainly for titles based on 20th Century Fox film and movie properties.
Their first two games were The Pagemaster, based on the film of the same name, and The Tick, based on the Fox Kids cartoon series of the same name. Fox Interactive released both arcade games, Die Hard Arcade and The Simpsons Bowling. The company became most well known for its Croc, Aliens vs. Predator, Die Hard and Charmed games.
In March 2003, Fox Interactive was acquired by Vivendi Universal Games and closed down in 2006. Future Fox Interactive games are now published by Fox Digital Entertainment or other 3rd party companies.
