At mousebird consulting, we’ve worked on a whole bunch of iOS and Android apps. Sometimes we do just the geospatial interfaces, other times we write the whole app. The best way to judge the quality of our work is to check out some of our favorites.
National Geographic World Atlas
What can you say about this one? It's National Geographic World Atlas. We did the globe for version 4.0. In addition to using our WhirlyGlobe-Maply toolkit, we did a lot of custom work to get that NatGeo look and feel.
Dark Sky
Dark Sky is one of the Apple app store's favorite weather apps. Not only will it tell when it's going to rain, it'll show you beautiful animated weather and temperature data. We did the interactive globe.
FlyQ EFB
FlyQ EFB is one of the popular iOS aviation apps. It's used by private pilots for flight planning and visualization. They use WhirlyGlobe-Maply for the maps and we did much of the custom integration.
eLLaWalk
eLLaWalk is part of the promotion for the eLLa fragrance from Victorinox. This Android app lets you see your organized walks on your device. We did the interactive map.
Gaia GPS
Gaia GPS was featured in Apple's Your Verse stories, It helps people explore remote places and stay safer in the woods. We made the interactive map toolkit.
WhirlyViz
WhirlyViz is a data visualization engine for iPad and iPhone. It uses Javascript modules to let users play with big, complex data sets. We did the whole thing.
Stratalogica
Stratalogica is a big, gorgeous interactive globe for students of all ages. You can browse existing content or make your own with an on-globe editor. We made the globe.
NYBG In Bloom
This app was commissioned by the New York Botanical Garden and developed by Local Projects. We were responsible for iOS engineering on the app.
