User Friendly I like Skype & it's features, and what it has to offer. It's user friendly. My friend has Galaxy 7 Edge smartphone. Quite frequently, the volume will go way down to mute on her smartphone, while Skyping me. I can hear her, but she can't hear me. It also happens, when she receive phone call or text. I eventually have to disconnect the video call and recall her to resolve the issue. Any suggestion and could you help on this issue?

Though many ppl say that skype is getting outdated. To my opinion, skype is still good in terms of availability when contacting a close-friend, family, or a distant relative that resides on a different country. All you need is a device that is internet capable and internet connection, and connecting to those ppl are just a few clicks away. Though the revamped version kinda ruins the scenery, it's still good that Skype is evolving. Microsoft has plans for this great app, to lead and compete with viber...

Would like to help you make it better Please make chatting options open always without even adding any friends request. So that if needed we can chat with temporary people without adding them and allowing us to make friends only after knowing them. Let the full conversation stay in history if chat made without adding them.

No Skype Call History, No way to know charged fees The option to be able to call phones with Skype is very useful. However, the fact that a Skype Call History is not available in anyway via a phone (from the app or Internet) makes it easy for Skype to charge whatever they want with no mentionned rates or time (connection time should not be call time) and gives the customer no way to check and drop any excessive charges.

Its stuck please help I open it up and login but after that is stays on the whats new page with no way of getting of that page and on to the next. I have tried closing and logging back in but nothing ever seem to work. This was a great app and I loved it so much and would love to use this app again.

Security Risk! Needs to read your contacts, sms... Crashes if it can't do it. Can't send feedback because of crash. Crashes every time going foreground. Crashes when going back from chat to contact list. Crashes on screen rotation. Crashing brings up another app, and this app has closing animation. Still valid after a long time. Would like to finally change it...

Using an LG-G5, doesn't let me answer or make calls, please help When someone calls me, and I answer, the app just crashes, and when I push the button to call someone, it doesn't do anything at all. Sometimes I'm forced to push the 'end call' button because when I try to answer, the buttons just go a darker color and don't do anything, so I have to reject the call. Please help.
I've always used Skype & for some reason is not working now. My daughter downloaded it & it's not working for her either. Video chat isn't working. Neither work. We can make the call & answer but we can't hear each other nor see each other. She tried video calling her friend & it's doing the same thing.. what's wrong?
Things are improving but.. There are very small problems which never seem to get fixed. It's impossible for my account to just stay online. I keep going "invisible" which is incredibly annoying. Why can't you just fix this so I will stay on whatever status I have chosen?
Tried to make call. Doesnt work. It says this app is free and you can call for free but me friend and I were trying to work on a project and decided that skype might make it easier. I tried calling ONE person and it didnt work. It said I needed some stupid skype points and the only way to get those is by paying for them. And it says FREE CALLS. Fix this skype or I will not take this comment down.
Security Issues with the app Needs to access the phone contacts and pics folder, denying access kicks me out of the app. Unable to call or use my subscription through Android Skype version. :( crashes for each call and as per other user comments below unable to send feedback for the calls
Skype going to rubbish, one star is to much for this app. They wanna record your calls if you don't agree with this you can't call! This is unavailable. Now Skype going to bad way. Guys find different voip operator. Also if you got problem they ignore you, I sent them emails and no answer. Skype go to the hell!
won't even connect Was fine up until last few updates then went sh.it. cameras swapping plays up and causes app to crash. Doing anything other than leaving your phone alone causes it to crash. So fed up now was really good . wont even connect to who your trying to connect to just says connecting and then fails. Now really rubbish. Plz fix

Before using it,i was thinking its very good Call drop,auto amnt deduction from credit,one side mute communication problem is common in skype credit.really dissappointed from this app.THIS CASE IS KNOWN AS ,'NAME BIG BUT SERVICE BAD'.
Useless updates While having to update in what seems like each week, important issues don't get resolved. Dropped calls, showing/switching to invisible while always online without me doing it, or switching to other apps on my tablet gets me on invisible mode, speech delay to abnormal levels. Just some of the most annoying issues constantly plaguing this app. I'm so sick of it. Seriously thinking of dropping it NOW!
Had issues with signing in to my phone. Password didnt work but was correct. Signing in to my computer worked perfectly. Updated hoping it would fix it. Now I cant even enter my password. I entered my username and the screen just went white and nothing happened. What is going on? FIX IT. THANKS.
no split screen or resizing enjoy the app and have used for a long time, but I hate that my image is so tiny and that I can't adjust the size. I prefer split screen, but there should at least be an option to make my image larger.
Always a great app Skype apps are wonderful across all platforms. The only thing that I don't like about it is that when someone calls, all the devices with Skype installed start ringing like crazy even for a little after I've answered the call from one device.
Unable to login. I am able to enter username and when I click on sign in, it's not asking password and it's continuously loading and showing blank white page...literally frustrated. Installed and uninstalled multiple times but no use. Even when I click create account, it's showing me a blank page . Please help me here.
ONE PROBLEM, OK MAYBE TWO I have to reset my password. But as soon as I get to choosing whether I need it emailed, texted, or called, I hit submit and nothing happens. I've tried so many times now, and I can't access my account. Though I have it on my PC, and it works well. I can video chat and the picture is steady, and the sound is great. Problem two, when I try to make a new account, it says that my number is already in use. Maybe the person who had the number before had Skype, but I need this fixed please.
Having only the option to be available or invisible is terrible. Worse, it seems to simply decide to show me as available when I don't wish to be. Microsoft, I will decide when I wish to be available. Stop trying to make that decision for me. The app also apparently lacks the ability to properly sync notifications across devices.
Data protection nightmare Why do they allow users to add people to groups without their expressed consent? I've been added to hundreds of groups that getting out of is tedious, getting calls from people I don't know at any time of the day or night. There needs to be a toggle allowing you to withhold consent for group calls on a per contact basis. Skype used to be great. It's now redundant as I have to have it turned off all the time. DISABLING RECEIVING CALLS FROM GROUPS WOULD BE A GOOD STARTING POINT.
More updates? Are you kidding? Today I'm starting to keep track of the ridiculous record of weekly updates of Skype. Starting 09/27/16 there are thirteen with this one. And the most amazing thing is the absolut disregard of the developing to these feedback notes.. they fix all but what the customers point as a problem.
It still shows people online or away when they don't even have skype anymore!! Everything is so random. Messages do not get sent or received. If I switch devices it shows totally different contacts available. Also the format randomly changes from a list of icons to an enormous alphabetical format. The letters dwarf the contacts and there is no clear way to prevent or switch this, clearly Skyprosoft is desperate to keep people using it by falsely listing non active accounts as available or away. Shame
Countless and Useless updates I bought my smartphone 8 months ago and I had rarely used it as I am used to the PC version. But the developers give frequent updates with almost no improvements when compared to the version it was 8 months ago.Totally waste of time and data updating it.
Poor quality paid calls Difficult to connect using Computer to computer. Not ringing whether paying or not. Using other systems ie What's App less of a problem. Quality of paid calls poor. Recipient cannot hear sender on many overseas calls.
Slow to open Use to be fast now its slowed right down very slow to bring up keyboard send photos n log in ...what happened to Skype? I don't have these problems with super fast WhatsApp
Skype Use Text me and what's app, even Messenger, anything but Skype. I used to love Skype, but that was a few years ago. Three payments and four hours with customer service, 4 reps before I got to make calls to landlines. People couldn't hear or understand me. Garbled. Skype rep said to make my bank refund my money, Skype won't. Like my bank will?? It's not my bank's responsibility to refund money for Skype shoddy service.
There's only 1 problem You know how you can send videos without people having to download it, when I press that send recorded video button, Skype just freezes
BAD... What the heack is this new skype we cont keep the difference between outgoing and incoming cal ringtones.... if you are not watching the phone screen never you can know this is the tone i dailed or this is incoming call ring ..... just hill.
Useless Can't find any contacts because the search won't work most of the time. Slow connections on 4g or high speed Internet. Dropped calls when I can find the people I want to call. For one of the most popular calling apps it's worse than fb messenger. You'd be better off just talking on the phone
It turned from bad to utter sh*t Stay away. I would be quite proficient with apps but it took me ages to only recover my account. Interface is unrecognisable from what it used to be and it looks like one big commercial now. So well done MS, you're becoming quite proficient at ruining your legacy.
Getting eclipsed by the competition Used it for years, but it's falling behind: no “user last seen” time; no end-to-end encryption. This would be useful: remind me of new msg every 2 minutes until I've read it. After merging with my Microsoft account, it asks me almost every day to give my first and last name, grr!
Bugs out for the most part for my device. Can't change screens, touch bugs out and when disconnected it's very hard to reconnect. Takes the top spot as the worst application
Pass code not working for conf calls When I enter pass code for conf call, if I press once one number taking two or three times same number, which is causing invalid pass code on call
I like the app but... It drops my calls all the time regardless of signal strength. The volume features are inadequate and i cannot turn down the call volume to where it's manageable. Can't connect a call to someone i just called for 3 hours? How does that one work? Please microsoft, enlighten us all.
Not really useful unlesss... Please upgrade the application and put seen mode so that we can determine if the message has been received and read or not...sorry for the 2 star..ill make it 5 once amended..
Bye bye skype, breaking bad! User since 2006. Since the takeover by MS: -insane update frequency -too high bandwidth required -horrible quality (not even requiring any video) with 8Mb adsl to landline subscription in western europe! How can you NOT became frustrated? Only name and logo have still something to do with the skype I loved. I absolutely hate it now.
Love it!! Sometime sound and picture isn't good but when you end it and call each other again the sound and picture is a lot better than before. It's a great way to talk to you friends. Any ages can use it, it's a safe app for kids. Love this app!!
