Out of curiosity, what does a really good tattoo artist make?
I know a guy who makes over 100,000 a year and charges $180 an hour.
How wonderful, I really enjoy your style!
Thanks so much!
Awesome job. How long did that take to do?
Thanks about 6 hours start to finish
They're more than 400 bucks though :/
Most people spend more than that on a bong or oil rig, this is cooler..
If you can afford them now, they still exist. I worked on their online store last year and they still think they're pretty relevant.
They are having a going out of business again sale.
Lovely. You must really like Van Gogh! What are your inspirations?
Thank you. Growing up my father was a professional painter and did very Andrew Wyeth type watercolors and acrylic paintings. I never really studied art or got into the history but have been influenced by, Alphonse Mucha, 60s rock art, pin striping, traditional tattoos, 80s graffiti a bit of Van Gogh but not as much as one would think and a lot of “experimentation” as a young lad. Really I just want my art to captivate you without too much going on, like a maze or puzzle of sorts.
Edit: and Bob Ross
I think you dodged a bullet with that one.
Maybe he was trying to dodge a bullet.
Good one /u/matter472. Haven't thought about that in a while!! For some reason the Sardo thing just popped in my head. I'm a developer, I'm 34, and then out of nowhere. Boom. Sardo.
Edit: Formatting.
I’m 34 as well but have recently watched all 6 seasons again. It was definitely worth it.
Its on Amazon Prime right? I just saw Eerie Indiana is on there now, and I nearly lost it.
Yeah it’s able to be purchased on prime but I ordered a dvd box set a while back, it was definitely some bootleg version though.
Send it back. I'm afraid they printed it backwards.
And forgot the cord for the hood
/r/gifsthatendtoosoon I really wanted him to Fugitive at the end.
Someone should make one at r/combinedgifs
That's awesome, I hadn't seen that one, lol 90k+ uvotes, how tf did I miss that?
I stumbled upon this one, haha..
edit:
u/matter472, I like your shit!
Thanks!
Just shared mine that you did for me back in May! https://imgur.com/a/y3f1I
Thanks again, haha. Clearly helping a ton of Gator fans.
Actually I just looked and it is ha ha dang my sense of timing is off.
Really love.your style man
Thanks so much
You did a bear before, right? The style really stands out, nice!
Thanks, that was me
This looks great! I'm just starting with acrylics. In which sequense do you paint the colours for this piece? Curious to learn.
Check out my time lapse video at matterartstudio.com thanks so much!
R/nostalgia
I watched almost the whole first planet earth tripping on mushrooms once and can confirm this.
Thanks! It was really fun to do, and I really love your style, and this piece especially.
Thank you it means a lot to me, check out my website matterartstudio.com if you haven’t. There is a time lapse there
Thanks for the link. That wasn't up the last time I checked out your website, but it was super cool to watch you work. Building up from black canvas makes a lot of sense, and I love that you pull the background pattern out of your brain as you work. That is not a skill I have, so it's something I really admire.
I look forward to seeing new pieces as they come up. Your work is so distinctive and engaging.
Thanks so much. It means a lot to me that I can inspire people. Cheers
This is now my phone background.
Heck yeah!
yo dude... you deserve it. stunning art.
Thanks!
