Ensoniq Esq-1 and Roland R8 makes a good simple combo by STR-6055 in synthesizers

Great sounds here. I really love the ESQ-1, and it's truly a joy to program.

TIL that Steve Harvey is closed-minded, ignorant, sexist, homophobic, and (worst of all) a golfer. by BrotherSeamus in nongolfers

I was willing to, and did overlook the other aspects of his personality because he is truly a solid performer and entertainer.

But this? What the fuck is this? Fuck you, Steve.

I believe in this context, they were referring to the size of the original Doom install data. The point of the article was to point out how large the average single-page download is, and the author used Doom as a point of reference.

Perhaps slightly off-topic, but I came across this perspective and thought it might be of interest here.

It's also fascinating to me that he nailed it in one take, but for an entirely different reason than an actor's performance. He spoke perfectly without wavering, but not because he had rehearsed a written script for hours and hours -- because he has a deep understanding of the subject matter.

The ESP section the the MS-20 is pretty unique -- and remains impressive for something that was created roughly 35 years ago.

Looking for music that sounds similar to (early) Black Moth Super Rainbow by Lt_Salt in synthesizers

Glad you dig it.

Embarrassingly enough, I found it before I knew anything about the game and I've listened to it an uncountable number of times. It really stood out for me as a great blend of modern-sounding digital chiptune perfection and slowly-modulated drifty analog haze.

It may just be because I've heard it so many times, but I think it stands on its own alone as an album in its own right.

I think this will be right up your alley, as it is way up mine:

It's the soundtrack/score to the video game FEZ, and it's beautiful.

Well, this just made every other sport daring to consider itself "extreme" look like a jump rope contest. This looks absolutely fucking insane, and the skill and timing involved is uncomfortably good.

12 year-old boy up late playing Rainbow Six Siege saves family from house fire by xiniok360 in Rainbow6

No shit, I can't believe I had to come this far to see this mentioned. What kind of cousin-bro just bails on you? The kid must have some crazy sleep issues to stay down through a smoke alarm, a wake-up attempt, the general chaos happening when -- you know -- there's a massive fucking fire, and then still needs to be woken up again minutes later.
