Upon first viewing, yeah. It’s not the kind of movie you expect, and the ending is way open ended
Until you realize that the movie isn’t about solving the murder, at all. That was never the point of the movie. It’s about forgiveness and how anger and hatred and revenge don’t solve anything. The ending shows how Mildred’s anger and hatred (to murder that guy) is beginning to soften (just like Red when he gives Dixon the orange juice)
It’s honestly a masterpiece. One of my all time favorite movies

I agree. However, this is also what I didn't like about the film. I'd seen this chemistry before, albeit better in Logan.
Yup, it felt super rushed and half assed. There was really no reason for her to become so attached to him with the relatively brief amount of time they spent together. They should have spent a significant portion of the film together if we’re going to go that route
They exhibit cis/trans isomerism as geometric isomers, yet are not chiral because they have an interior mirror plane
There are also many jokes that I wouldn't understand back then
