This subreddit is a place to collect updated discussions and user experiences running Linux on Thinkpads. Please help update your posted new knowledge or verified solutions on our wiki page and hopefully also on the ThinkWiki. Everyone who has enough karmar can edit the sub's wiki page, while only those who has edit-permission on ThinkWiki can edit the content there. Please also see the current issue with the wiki knowledge base system. Please don't hesitate to make contributions on your own to our knowledge base and open-source projects. Since we have invited a lot of wikipage/blog writers, software developers, hardware designers and Lenovo engineers into this sub, we allow crossposting from other places to gather the most updated information to them to solve the most concerned issues for the community and share knowlege to more people. You are also encouraged to help answer question on the forwarded subreddits, to show up how awesome Linux on Thinkpads are to a broader community by commenting on the forwarded posts from elsewhere.

1.	Reddiquette	Keep it civil, no need to be rude or full of hate. You can disagree but you can't be a jerk about it.
2.	No distro hate	Please try to stay away from flaming a distro just because you don't like it. Everyone has their own opinion. If they need help with a certain distro that you don't happen to like try to help them instead of flaming their distro.
3.	Risk policy	Some advice given here comes with a certain amount of risk. If you are asking for BIOS flashes, use your head instead of blaming someone if something goes wrong. DO NOT give high-risk advice unless you know what you are doing. We are not responsible for any damage to your machine caused by advice you follow.
4.	Spam/Affiliate Links/Self Promotion	No spam or likewise self-promotion. Affiliate links must be disclosed if they are posted and you must have approval from the mod team. Likewise, if you have built a Linux distro and want people to try it out you must disclose that it was self-built or experimental, do not force it on people either.
5.	Personal Information	Keep personal information out of anything you post here unless it is yourself's or you have the permission to post here.
6.	Be Specific	When asking for help or about distros or ThinkPads, make clear what exactly the problem is and how you should fix it.
