Mobiles Internet erobert unseren Planeten
Laut einer neuen Ericsson-Studie sollen bis zum Jahr 2017 etwa 85 Prozent der Weltbevölkerung via 3G-Mobilfunknetzen aufs Internet zugreifen können. Dann soll es insgesamt rund 9 Milliarden Mobilfunkanschlüsse auf der Erde geben.
LTE-Auftrag von Softbank Mobile in Japan
Ericsson wird für den japanischen Netzbetreiber Softbank Mobile nicht nur ein LTE-Zugangsnetz aufbauen, bei dem Multistandard-Basisstationen des Typs RBS 6000 eingesetzt werden. Das Unternehmen wird auch die Aufrüstung des Kernnetzes von Softbank Mobile übernehmen.
