    If you think this is hypothetical, look at the Trump administration outright lying about transit numbers and saying "the media" is wrong.

    So to talk about how "the media" is doing it wrong is to rhetorically erase the fact that good, necessary journalism is happening right now.

    Because even if the majority of media were bad actors (I don't think they are), those doing journalism right provide immeasurable value.
