    Smell test: if someone talks about "x fees to move y BTC" and not "x fees for a z byte transaction", they're making a political pitch, not a technical argument.

    Fellow Bitcoiners, are you ever going to realize how problematic these fees are getting? Avg fees now over $40 per tx. A year ago avg fee was $4. A year prior, $0.40. Growing faster than price, and exponentially with usage. We just spent $4800 to move 15 BTC in one TX.

    I was taking a look at the source code (which is based on 0.14!). What I *thought* was a PoW backdoor was in fact just incredibly badly written code which would, as it happens, cause a fork on big endian platforms.

    Note to self: when is time to create a scam token, don't call the new hash function ActiveX, flash, etc. try to go with OneTimePad or something

    abcore v0.62 is out. no glib hack, ndk android builds - much smaller. and works on Oreo too now. also supports rpc cookie auth + couple of improvements and bug fixes. got feedback? get involved! abco.re

    Stop asking for various forks. We all get more if we focus on Bitcoin ecosystem. Its value will then grow organically. Look at BGold, you got less than 300 USD/BTC, but meanwhile 1 BTC went from 7500 to 8200 USD. Forks cost too much effort which is missing somewhere else

    Update on Confidential Transactions (CT) by Greg Maxwell: tl;dr Previously CT txns are ~16x size of normal txns. New breakthroughs by Benedikt Bünz and Jonathan Bootle results in only a ~3x size increase. CoinJoin can combine txns to make this negligible!
