    I worked for Times Community News 10 years ago and reporters there are still earning about the same as my 2007 wages there. Even back then, I struggled to pay my rent, buy groceries, pay my student loans on less than $40K a year in Southern California.

    This is why we need : Reporters at tronc-owned community newspapers, whose work is regularly featured in the , are barely getting by.
