    Thank you for this must-read article , on the inhumane treatment of asylum seekers. It's time to change this & show your humanity

    The UK is illegally detaining people who have claimed refugee or asylum status. This us the moral equivalent of Australia’s ghastly practice. We don’t offshore them on remote islands but we lock then up in terrible detention centres. No difference

    In 2017, 31,000 unaccompanied minors arrived in Europe. The gov agreed to take just 480 of them under the Dubs scheme. It says councils don't have capacity but we have pledges for nearly 1,200 additional places! Unaccompanied children in Europe need safe passage. The PM must act.
