    We study science, but science tells us that life and death are both processes. Law, on the other hand, must pick a particular moment in these processes to define life and death. Law, not science. There, religious and non-religious legal traditions are on equal footing.

    Just so that there's something on my feed that isn't about abortion.

    Watching the celebration after Schoop's walk-off just reinforces how ignorant it is for anyone to claim don't care about winning. They do. They just haven't been doing it. Those are 2 different issues entirely.

    The real problem here, aside from profound ignirance, is that Ben is shilling for a position that leads to a pretty strict legal ban against abortion, thereby nullifying all the nuanced wisdom of halakha, and the authority of religious Jews to render halakhic decisions.

    Virtually every major Jewish halakhist of the modern era has barred abortion except when the life of the mother is threatened. Don't try quoting the Talmud at me. You just don't know enough.
