Why is there a ferrite core on the controller cable?
I'm guessing all PAL controllers have them? All of mines have them.
Well it's a PAL console and from what I can tell they are a bit more pricey.
I got mines for around 40 pounds, so I think you got it for a fairly average price. NTSC consoles are generally cheaper.

The theory is good up until the 9/11 part. That's entirely circumstantial, there could be a while load of reasons as to why he has a fear of heights other than his parents being killed in a terrorist attack. There's no solid evidence backing up that bit.
I just really love the idea of the New York superhero's early life being defined by "the New York tragedy fascinating and loaded with story potential. Plus, the movie's packed with enough with what feel like 9/11 allusions that the theory is still plausible.
It's plausible, sure, but that's only because of how vague the narrative is. It doesn't make it the most likely possibility. You could fit hundreds of other theories into it as well. It's a fun theory to think about, but it's definitely not the most plausible of them all.

The more I learn about audio & recording the more I realize that our ears are just really dumb and we've basically gotten really good at tricking them.
You ever heard of something called the Harmonic Series? Without getting into details, it's basically the ratios between frequencies that creates intervals. Simpler intervals sound good, while more complicated ones sound dissonant. The octave, for example, has a 2:1 ratio (so the first note might have a frequency of 500Hz while the second would have one of 1000Hz). Your ears can calculate these ratios obscenely quickly. Like, faster than a calculator could. Your ears can instantly tell the difference between a frequency ratio of 80:80 and one of 81:80, and there's a relatively massive difference between them to your ears. Your ears are the fastest fucking calculators in existence. When you're listening to some insane Black MIDI shit that's giving you 1000 chords a minute, your ears can effortlessly hear each chord. Can your brain take it all in? Of course not, your brain is fucking dumb. But the ears can. They're smart as fuck.

They're all good, some are just better than others. We're not voting out bad songs, were voting out the least good ones.
These days they've toned it down quite a bit, burning the past they were genuinely one of the worst subreddits out there. They'd incite brigades constantly, they'd be racist constantly (they still do, to an extent), they doxxed people on occasion, and all they really got from the whole thing was a slap on the wrist, if that.

Yep, the same way that the Mona Lisa is just a few stokes of paint, and the Empire State Building is just a couple of bricks stacked on top of eachother.
I use it frequently for looking things up that I don't want clogging my recommendations, coding tutorials and such. It's also helpful for logging into alternative Reddit accounts, when you need to work on a bot or something.

It's easy, just strap a couple SLS's together. Get an SLSLS. Can't he too difficult, right? Long as you have enough struts holding the thing together.
It really depends on how active the sub is, and how good the mods are. I mod some subreddits that have over 30 mods and it works, while I mod some other subs that are of a similar sub count, but have a relatively tiny amount of mods. In my opinion, mod efficiency is key; if you have a ton of mods on your sub but only a handful of them are doing the work, then the other mods aren't necessary and should not be on the team.

Merchants in the game has chests where the items they sell comes from. If you glitch out of Whiterun through a tower you can walk on the outside until you get to the Skyforge, where you drop down underground and loot the chest without spending a septim.
The best place for this is the Ragged Flagon, there's (IIRC) 7 chests, though one of them causes the guild to get angry at you if you loot it. It's slightly more complicated to get to them than the Whiterun chest, you have to use a wooden plate to clip through one of the walls, but it's still really easy, and it offers a larger variety of items than the one under the Skyforge.
3rd grade. One of the fluorescent lights was going out, and occasionally flickering. Everyone was doing some kind of individual, quiet work. Between flickers, this kid would point his arms at the light, wiggle his fingers, and contort his face into this look of extreme exertion. Then it would start flickering, and he'd relax.
Never did figure out how he made it flicker...
Edit: guys, guys.... He wasn't making it flicker. He just wiggled when it wasn't flickering, and then when it started, took that as confirmation that he must have telekenetic (telefluorescent?) powers.

I agree with the people saying that this isn't really correct for the sub (check out r/nosobstory, you'll probably see why), but at the same time, I am really, really happy for you. It's definitely suitable for r/happy though, so I'd recommend contacting the mods.
Don't take Reddit's criticisms too seriously, when you're browsing the internet highway and you're going through 20 posts a minute, feelings can often be overlooked and it can lead to people being a bit more cynical and assholish than usual. There have been people who used posts similar to this one (with a random picture and a fake story in the title) to get karma, and I'd say that's one of the main reasons people aren't too fond of these types of posts here on r/pics. I don't think you're lying, by the way, but some people might not care enough to check before commenting that they don't like the post.
