Two weeks after the Oct. 25, 2015 incident, a Nov. 5, 2015 text exchange between Lindsey Voltolini and Courtney shows Meyer talked to Zach Smith about the incident.
Lindsey is the wife of Brian Voltolini, considered one of Meyer’s most loyal staff members. Brian is Ohio State’s football operations director and has been part of Meyer’s staffs for 15 seasons at Bowling Green, Utah, Florida and Ohio State.

I think the Purdue and Wisconsin game will be very interesting because our defense won’t be great this year but our offense will be stellar. I think the key for us would be to score early and force Wisconsin to air it out. Will definitely be an interesting scenario to see how good Hornibrook is.

I admire your self-control. If I had to watch the team play like dogshit and get blown out, I'd have yelled at them when they turned their back during the fight song. "Yeah, quit on the song like you quit on the game!!" I don't think I would have lasted long in the band.

I had interesting bowl trip experiences. We went to one all 4 years, but my freshman year was in Charlotte the day after Xmas, so it was optional and we only took a pep band. The other 3 years we went to Birmingham and it was always after the New Year and the spring semester had already started since we have a short Winter break.
Did you get to go on any away trips at all?
Freshmen year was Michigan State
Sophomore year was Lucas Oil stadium against ND
Junior was Northwestern
Senior year was Illinois.
One year we did halftime at Lucas Oil for Colts v Patriots, can’t remember which year. It was actually a pretty not great experience.
I got to go to Spain, Colombia and NYC/Carnegie Hall tho for Concert Band and Orchestra which was amazing.

Bell will play outside receiver while Sheffield is a slot so this really shouldn’t affect him too much.
Bell has said he is waiting for the season to watch which offenses ball out. Which I think favors us because our offense should be a full Brohmfense this season.

Well I look at our recruiting this way:
We had 5 years of last or second to last recruiting in the B1G
Hazell Era was an absolute train wreck on the field.
I may take some flack from my fan base for this but the greater Lafayette area is kind of a shit hole besides campus so that definitely doesn’t help recruiting.
So despite all that Jeff Brohm was able to take us bowling and have our first winning season since 2011. That just goes to show how good of a coach Brohm is and that’s what the staff uses to bring kids in.
It also helps that we just built a brand new top of the line football only facility.

Suddenly it's time to ease up on the character assassinations and the trying of people in the court of public opinion? We should have stopped those things a long time ago, but you can't both kick out people like Roseanne and Franken while also trying to keep Gunn. Obviously every private company can make up their own decisions on who to fire, but a lot of it is driven by public "outrage" which is all to easy to come across or blow out of proportion these days.
The Roseanne Barr situation is completely different from James'
Roseanne’s Tweet was directed at a person, James’ wasn’t.
Roseanne’s Tweet was meant to be racist and hurtful, James’ were meant to be funny (even if they weren’t, that was the intent).
Roseanne’s tweets were made while she was a Disney employee, James’ wasn’t.
Roseanne doubled down after her tweets and blamed it on ambien. James apologized back in 2012 (while he was employed by Disney) and owned up to it.
