| Rule 1: Detail Guidelines |
Details must be obscure, specific and intentional. Bloopers are not a detail even if it's due to an intentional thing. Obviously, obscurity is subjective and that is taken into account when moderating. |
| Rule 2: Comment rules. (hover for details) |
All comments must be civil. Comments about rule breaking submissions will be removed, just hit report. Political comments may also be removed. |
| Rule 3: Titles must include the movie name. |
All submissions must include the name of the movie in the title. |
| Rule 4: All details must be easily verifiable. |
If your post makes a claim of something that isn't verifiable by watching the movie, you need to provide a source for it. Something that's verifiable by watching the movie does not need a source. Details that cannot be verified as being true will be removed. |
| Rule 5: No games or TV shows, movies only. |
Submissions must be movies, TV shows and games should go to /r/TVDetails and /r/GamingDetails. See this multireddit for more details subreddits. |
| Rule 6: Explain your post. |
Make sure your submission has an explanation either in the title or in the comments and add "(explanation in comments)" to your title. |
| Rule 7: No offtopic posts. |
No memes, meta or request posts. |
| Rule 8: Avoid reposts. |
No common reposts, recent reposts or reposts from the top 200. |
| Rule 9: No recent movies or spoilers in titles. |
No spoilers in the title or untagged comments. Don't browse /new if you're worried about this. Submissions from movies that are still in theatres or haven't been released yet will also be removed. Trailers will also be removed under this rule. |
| Rule 10: No animated Disney or Pixar movies on weekdays. |
Animated Disney and Pixar related submissions will be removed on weekdays, this is due to a high amount of them. They are allowed on weekends. Starts: Sat 12:00AM New Zealand time. Ends: Sun 11:59PM Hawaiian time. Here is a time-zone map. |
