#WorldEnvironmentDay -2018
#WorldEnvironmentDay is being celebrated across the world on 5th June every year.
A Platform for Action, World Environment Day is the most important day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the protection of our environment. Since it began in 1974, it has grown to become a global platform for public outreach that is widely celebrated in over 100 countries.
The theme of this Year world environment day celebration is “BEAT PLASTIC POLLUTION” #MahaMetro, as always pledges to keep environment safe by bring some positive changes within ourselves and the society for better future, celebrated #WorldEnvironmentDay_2018 by organizing Awareness rallies, Distribution of Jute bags to the public at strategic locations and Sapling plantations across the project sites.
The highlight of the celebration was the Cycle rally which was organized by Maha Metro along with M/s AFCONS. The rally was flagged off by Director (Projects) Mr. Mahesh Kumar and Chief Project manager (Reach 3) Mr. Arun kumar. The cycle rally started off from Ambazari Lake at 8 am and reached Metro House, civil lines at 09.15 am through Sitabuldi and RBI square. More than 200 staff from Maha Metro, General Consultants and Contractors participated with full enthusiasm and it was a grand success in creating much needed awareness among the citizens.
