The podcast will be out tomorrow morning ET. Really appreciate them giving me an hour during WrestleMania Week. The one thing from the podcast that really comes across is how much they love working with each other.

For women's basketball fans: Tomorrow on I have a 3,800-word preview on the Final Four. As part of the piece, provided scouting reports and offered next level stats on each of the teams. I think you will dig it. Was fun to write.

I look it at more through the prism of Skipper is a sports media exec who always knows what he is saying publicly because people in his position live under the prism that everything they say can end up in print. So there is a caution on the emotional/visceral etc. Make sense?

I tried to listen to this independent of having written about both for many years. Of course that's probably impossible. I came away from it appreciating an interesting conversation for people curious about the last decade of ESPN from the inside-out. Recommended for media nerds.

Anyone who reads the piece knows where I stand on it. Fuck-ups happen. For all of us. What happened in that game did not bother me as a viewer at all. But I was interested in how Anderson processed it.

MEDIA COLUMN: What's it like for a play by play announcer when he or she misses the biggest call of the game? I spoke to Turner Sports announcer Brian Anderson after Virginia's win over Purdue. He took the play extremely hard. Item No. 1.
