An added touch: Note the photo the New York Times used for our op-ed. Why's it so grainy, and unusual?
Washington Post 5/10/17: "Russia's state news agency['s] photographer was the only one allowed in the meeting, while U.S. journalists were kept out."

2. Here's the Politico story on what Mueller uncovered — and felt the need to report — about Burr's back channel to the White House.
(reporting by @burgessev and @marianne_levine, h/t to @NatashaBertrand for tweeting this out).

Important about Senate Intelligence Committee Chair, Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC)
1. A significant nugget in Mueller Report: fingers Senator Burr as secretly feeding probe's info to White House (Politico story)
2. My earlier research and deep dive on Burr:

I appreciate this analysis of my @just_security article on Bill Barr’s coverup of Justice Dept opinion in 1989.
Now reading Mueller report compared to Barr’s summary and Thurs morning overview....

Unlike the Attorney General who was able to read this tomb of a report (including all the redacted parts), completely form his legal views, and compose his summary in 48 hours, I'm a slow reader. twitter.com/justinhendrix/…

.@DanaBashCNN just reported that the same preview was not provided to other people who are in same position as Trump (people who the report will likely have derogatory info about them too).

Exactly.
Plus illegality -- on their theory, as stated by Barr -- turns on whether Trump campaign associates participated in underlying hacking conspiracy.

Barr's description of Trump campaign involvement in Russia-WikiLeaks operation to distribute (includes timing, coordination of messaging) stolen emails was VERY NARROWLY worded compared to Barr's description of IRA and GRU hacking. And let's not just focus here on criminality. twitter.com/rgoodlaw/statu…

Based on #Barr presser, I recommend paying attention to Mueller report on Trump campaign connections to Russia-Wikileaks ops to distribute stolen emails.
Barr's wording was about whether their actions were illegal, and referenced to support of hacking (both odd qualifications).

Barr then adds: “we did not rely SOLELY on that in making our decision” – so they did rely IN PART on different legal theory of obstruction?
Then says: “we accepted the Special Counsel’s legal framework for purposes of our analysis” – is 'framework' the same as legal theories?

Recall key exchange on whether will claim executive privilege:
Barr 1: Asks for restating question
Barr 2: would have to be asserted by President (Trump said he wouldn’t)
Barr 3: notes loophole: President has left decision to me
Barr 4: I have “no plan” to do that pic.twitter.com/PnN4bhqfCZ
