The allocation of time in Commons & Lords, & setting of recess dates, should be taken away from the Government & given to independent committees under the Speakers of both Houses. Mrs May’s manipulation & intimidation of parliament is a disgraceful aspect of Brexit

If true - IF - then Mrs May's statement today misled Parliament. The opportunity to get clarification of what exactly was happening was not taken up in the debate. Similarly the statement May made about Council Conclusions having legal status. MPs let too much slip through.

The committee's view is that you can since the FTPA did not affect other forms of expressing no confidence. It's an interesting report.

and Corbyn to immediately table a Vote of No Confidence in the PM. Mrs May did not respond but left the Chamber with a nod to Mr Speaker as she passed the Chair.
