A few years ago, Solange did a pop up show in DC. She chose Sankofa to perform at. There’s so much history, love, culture, and healing in that space. So many affirmations for all Black people across the diaspora. Please support the Black-owned cafe and bookstore Sankofa.

Hi. I want to talk about this woman for a second. The woman you’re seeing is Linda Fairstein, who ran the sex crimes unit responsible for the case known as the Central Park 5 and is a key character in Ava’s “When They See Us”. Buckle up.

Today we received a letter from Robert, a 60 year-old elder in the NYS prison system. Robert has served 27 years of a 50 year to life sentence. He is a scholar & program founder. Without elder parole, he won't appear before the Parole Board until 2048, likely after he has died.
