I cannot stop thinking about this, about them, about the hideousness of our society which allowed this seven year old boy to be wrenched away from his mother and locked away for a month. About the other children separated from their parents, parents separated from their children

I rarely cry reading the news. There is usually an element of remove, even when I read about horrors. But as I held my newborn daughter in my arms this weekend and read about how Beata Mariana de Jesus Mejia-Mejia wrapped her son in a blanket, I wept nytimes.com/2018/06/23/us/…
