Itay Tiran, Israel's top actor-director, says Zionism equals racism and backs a boycott of Israel: 'I think a normal political left should support BDS'. After adopting the IHRA anti-semitism definition, the UK Labour party would have to expel him

Her constituency party has voted for the party whip to be withdrawn and to open a selection process to find another candidate for the next election. *They* ousted her. Whether their say counts in the Labour party is another matter

The story says her constituency party has called for the Labour whip to be withdrawn. I think all that counts as ousting

The ousting of Joan Ryan confirms the point of my article yesterday, in which I argued that the UK's Israel lobby had overplayed its hand in relentlessly attacking Corbyn, exposing the racist premises that were always at the heart of its agenda

The fightback begins! Joan Ryan, chair of Labour Friends of Israel, was ousted as MP by her constituency party last night. Ryan had been caught on camera making false accusations to fuel anti-semitism claims and had repeatedly vilified Corbyn

OK, so Labour's ruling body betrayed Palestinian rights and put at risk Labour members' freedom of speech, but at least adopting the will draw a line under this whole affai-

My latest: In their relentless attacks on Corbyn, the Israel lobby are being required for the first time to air the racist premises that always underpinned their arguments. That exposure is going to harm, not benefit, Britain's apologists for Israel

The 'forget it' refers to 'those seeking a silver lining'. It was meant as a wake-up call about how big is the defeat and how serious the fightback needs to be. The caveat *is* small print - and will not offer any protection against anti-semitism smears

That's not a fair representation of my position at all. I'm arguing we need to be far more ambitious than simply aiming for damage limitation

It's not 'exaggeration'. It's tackling complacency and urging a proper fightback. It was complacency, from Corbyn downwards, that got us into this mess

I'm not saying people shouldn't try to get the caveat passed. But that's not the real fight - that's over the IHRA definition. Too many people on my timeline are saying, don't worry it'll be fine once we have the caveat. It won't be fine. Israel's apologists will still have won

Calling for air strikes on Syria is not ‘incendiary’. Supporting the Iraq war is not ‘ incendiary’. Wanting to bomb Libya is not ‘incendiary’. But Jeremy wanting to protect free speech on Israel is!

Psychic UN Ambassador says "If there are chemical weapons that are used, we know exactly who is going to use them." They're not even waiting for initial unconfirmed reports to assign blame anymore, they're assigning blame before the attacks even happen.

The real story here is that anyone would consider this statement “incendiary”. Especially journalists.

Those seeking a silver lining in the NEC's adoption of the full IHRA anti-semitism definition point to a possible addition of a 'free speech caveat' on Palestine. Forget it. It's small print. Israel apologists in Labour and the media won't be pointing to the small print
