Of all the #WW1 items I have seen over the last few years this stands out. The unsmoked cigarettes carried by Pte Ted Ambrose when he was mortally wounded on the Somme in 1916. They were returned to his mother after his death and kept locked away for a century. pic.twitter.com/GCypzxnQap
