Please pray for peace in the Middle East, esp for people in #Gaza who are living through traumatic times & a dramatically deteriorating humanitarian situation. They are extremely vulnerable & deprived. Their fate is central to peace which can never be built on neglect.

Today I spoke with Fr Mario da Silva PP in #Gaza to offer prayers & support. He said that everyone is desperate w/ shortages of water & other basic necessities. He said that knowing Catholics in England & Wales & across the world were praying for them was a great encouragement.

Following the call of #PopeFrancis at Easter, we pray for the peoples of the world caught up in conflict and strife. We remember with particular love the people of Syria and Gaza we pray for those whose love of neighbour has been destroyed in the bitterness of enmity.
