Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how and when Kol Hadash Humanistic Congregation collects, uses and shares your information when you use our website or services (collectively, “KH Resources”). By accessing or otherwise using KH Resources, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy and consent to the handling and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information Collection and Use
Information you provide: We collect information that you submit in the process of using KH Resources, including information submitted when you sign-up for e-mail newsletters. For example, we may require you to provide us with your name, valid e-mail address, phone numbers and other information. We will collect any information you voluntarily provide, and we may also request optional information to support your use of KH Resources, such as your year of birth, gender and other demographic information. Additionally, we collect any information that you voluntarily enter, including personal information, into any postings, comments or forums within the Kol Hadash community. And, if you send an e-mail to us, we will collect your e-mail address and the full content of your e-mail, including attached files and other information you provide.
Third-party service providers: Kol Hadash may use a variety of third-party services and, for example to host our website, store data (in or outside the U.S.) or provide website analytic tools to help us understand how you and other users interact with Kol Hadash. These third-party services and applications may collect non-personally identifiable data sent by your browser as part of a web page request, including but not limited to data on where visitors came from and what actions they took on our site. We do this to improve your Kol Hadash experience.
Cookies: Like many websites, we use “cookie” technology to collect additional website usage data and to improve KH Resources. “Cookies” are small pieces of information that a website sends to your computer’s hard drive while you are viewing the site. We may use both session cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to better understand how you interact with Kol Hadash. Most Internet browsers automatically accept cookies. You can instruct your browser, by changing its settings, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit. However, if you decline to receive cookies, some aspects of our website may not work properly and you may not be able to receive our services.
Log data: As you use our website, certain information may be passively collected and stored on our or our service providers’ server logs, including your Internet protocol address, browser type, operating system, the referring web page, pages visited, search terms and cookie information. An Internet protocol address, or “IP Address,” is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. In some cases your IP Address stays the same from browser session to browser session; but if you use a consumer internet access provider, your IP Address may vary from session to session.
2. Use and Disclosure of Information
In general, personal information and other information you submit or share with us is used for the following purposes by Kol Hadash:
- to enable your access to our services;
- to provide, maintain, protect, develop and improve KH Resources:

We do not disclose your private personal information to third parties except in the limited circumstances described below.
With your consent: We may share or disclose your information if you ask or authorize us to do so.
To our trusted third-party service providers: We engage service providers to perform functions and to provide services to us. We may share your private personal information with such service providers subject to confidentiality obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy and on the condition that the third parties use your private personal information only on our behalf and pursuant to our instructions.
To comply with legal requirements: Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Policy, we reserve the right to retain and disclose your information at our discretion if we believe in good faith that such retention and disclosure is necessary to (a) comply with relevant laws or to respond to subpoenas or warrants served on us; (b) to protect and defend our rights or property, you, or third parties; or (c) to ensure the safety and security of our systems and of our customers and third parties.
If the information is non-private or non-personal information: We may share or disclose your non-private, aggregated or otherwise non-personal information. We may also develop non-personal information concerning users, using de-identification processes to help ensure that such information cannot reasonably be re-associated or connected with you as an individual. Generally, we aggregate this information and use it in statistical analysis to help us analyze patterns in the use of our website.
This Privacy Policy does not limit our use or disclosure of de-identified information (i.e., that is not connected with you as an individual or as a user) in any way, and we reserve the right to use and disclose such information to our partners, advertisers and other third parties at our discretion. If you do not agree or do not consent to the use of your information in any manner described above, you should not use this website.
