    About This Program

Over the years, we’ve been been expanding our events to visit more countries across the world and are frequently asked to travel to new cities by ambitious entrepreneurs.

We know how much it takes to set up and run a business and we want to make it easier for all the incredible global talent out there to meet with us by setting up Online Office Hours. It’s your chance to meet with our Investment Team, discuss your business and receive feedback from our in-house experts.

What can I expect from Seedcamp Online Office Hours?
Seedcamp will select 12 startups who’ll receive a 15 min slot for a one-to-one conference call with our Investment Team. It’s a unique opportunity to discuss your business directly, before pre-seed applications close on 19th February and:
    - Receive early feedback about your business
    - Understand the areas of your business you may need to sharpen
    - Discuss if you are eligible to receive pre-seed or seed investment from Seedcamp

    What happens next?
The conference calls will be scheduled on Monday 13th February, with one of the 3 Investment Team members at Seedcamp. We will announce the exact time slot for each selected company by the end of Thursday 9th February.

    Please note:
This is an application to sign-up for Online Office Hours that will take place remotely.
This is *not* an application for an investment, but a great opportunity to get in front of the investment team ahead of applications closing on 19th February 2017.
To apply for pre-seed investment please go to http://seedcamp.com/apply-to-seedcamp.

    Good luck to all teams!

  • Seed San Diego
Seed San Diego · SeedSD Prospects

Capital and intellectual value that measurably moves companies forward.

San Diego · Carlsbad · SaaS · Software · Disruptive Models

    About Seed San Diego

We are a small group of investors who are determined to change the landscape for investing in San Diego. We will talk with you like we talk with our friends. We will ask you hard questions. We will laugh over drinks. If you can handle our candor, we'd like to meet you.

We invest in early stage companies with disruptive technology that need both capital and additional business insight to achieve their next milestone. We seek out startups with passionate founders and a bold vision who also understand their true strengths.  Ultimately we invest when the combination of SSD’s capital and intellectual value can combine to measurably move the company forward. SSD’s funding strategy is to lead Series Seed or Bridge to Series A.

    About This Program

We are looking for great San Diego based companies!

    -Application Process-

Submit Application- This is the first step and typically the most frustrating for Founders because it can feel like a black box. Don't worry, we don't use robots. One or more of our leadership team considers each application in detail to determine whether there is a fit. If there isn’t, we will let you know quickly.

Screening Meeting- OK! So you made it past the application and are on a roll. This is where we get to know you and your company. We are honest and, at times, very direct, with a well honed BS meter. Most of the time it's very clear what next steps look like at the end of this meeting.

Whiteboard Session- This is where we discuss how to empower your greatness. This includes but is not limited to capital investment, other resources and suggested additions to the team. You should come with a high-level plan and be prepared for an active conversation. During this meeting we typically bring in industry experts that align with the problem you're solving. The end result is a comprehensive plan on how to move forward.

SSD Partners Meeting- Subject to the outcome of the Whiteboard Session, the SSD team gets together to discuss capital requirements and other internal/ external resources needed to make the plan happen. This will form the basis for our offer and includes all SSD obligations.

  • Flashpoint at Georgia Tech
Flashpoint at Georgia Tech · Batch 8

Flashpoint creates better startups, faster using the startup engineering process.

    Atlanta

    About Flashpoint at Georgia Tech

Flashpoint works closely with founders in a startup studio where they utilize methods of behavioral economics and startup engineering to develop exceptional opportunities. Georgia Tech recognized Dr. Merrick Furst’s development of these methods with the university’s highest award for Outstanding Achievement in Research Innovation.

Operating since 2011, Flashpoint is among the most experienced startup studios in the world. It is unique in its approach. Flashpoint startups have raised over $300 million from top tier venture firms. The companies in Flashpoint’s portfolio are valued at well over $1 billion. You can learn more about how Flashpoint works in a Forbes interview (https://goo.gl/t8OYYJ) with Dr. Furst, and in an excerpt from the recently released Harvard Business Review Press book, An Everyone Culture, Becoming a Deliberately Developmental Organization (Kegan and Lahey - https://goo.gl/M7oikx).

    About This Program

    What to Expect

Flashpoint is an Atlanta-based, four month long program, divided into two parts, and ending in demo days in several cities. The first six weeks is a concentrated on-site program, usually involving three lectures or workshops per week, weekly critiqued team presentations, weekly office hours, and a weekly speaker series, in addition to numerous interactions with potential customers. The following 10 weeks includes ongoing lectures, workshops, and office hours, but can be conducted off-site. Innovation teams from larger companies work alongside startups in the same program, for example a Coca-Cola team is in the current cohort. See this article in Forbes or this talk by founder Merrick Furst to learn about program content.

    Financial Considerations

Flashpoint requires accepted startups to be or convert to US C- Corporations. Invited startups receive a $20k investment as a SAFE, from an independent fund (created, in part, by successful companies developed at flashpoint.) In addition, flashpoint purchases 7% of company stock.

European Institute for Entrepreneurship · EIE Accelerator Winter 2017

A center which promotes entrepreneurs and supports entrepreneurship

Madrid · Consulting · Startups · Business Development · Entrepreneur

    About European Institute for Entrepreneurship

The European Institute for Entrepreneurship (EIE) is a pioneering organization created by a group of entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs. At EIE we give particular importance to people & not just exclusively to their projects, the overall mission is to promote entrepreneurship. Here at EIE we believe in diversity: understood as a measure of freedom.

In order to realistically be diverse, our institute tries to be as transversal as possible in 3 different areas: Firstly age; we don’t see age as measure of capability to grasp on to ideas or projects, age doesn’t matter. Secondly; educational background. In today’s world it is often necessary to meet certain academic requirements in order to be considered a “valuable” member of society. At EIE we make no distinctions, we don’t care about your academic background. Thirdly, we consider ourselves to be transverse when it comes to projects. Any project is welcomed at our institute. As long as your startup rocks & is looking to make a difference.

    About This Program

The EIE accelerator program gives startups the skills, knowledge, and values to launch their idea, boost their company development, or find the relevant funding and partnerships.

Since the beginning, the EIE has adopted a long-term strategy approach. This strategy also connects us to many global institutions. We are partnered with University College London, Rutgers Business School and Citrus Saturdays. The EIE is a member of Global Consortium for Entrepreneurial Centers (GCEC), and works closely with various international actors.
