Want to learn more about Creative Technology? This nice little roundup by #TBDLabs is pretty cool. As a Creative #Engineer / Technologist myself at #Google, there is certainly some overlap, although I feel they have missed off some of the other key research areas many of us are experimenting with these days such as Machine Learning. Still a good little glimpse into world of storytelling, world firsts, innovation and more where creativity and tech knowledge combine to make novel experiences - and some great sources of inspiration for those in the industry already!

New machine learning system from #Nvidia automatically remove backgrounds from images and with surprisingly good results too. Impressive. Uses a technique known as deep image matting. See this paper for details: https://arxiv.org/pdf/1703.03872.pdf and below for the article.
