New Idea

Please extend delegation to IsBlank()

The documentation says that this function is delegated, but as you can see in the following thread, this is not the case.

Many thanks

Today PowerApps can auto-tab between controls, need the capability to specify tab order.

I am requesting a reasonable way to migrate apps and entities from Legacy environments to new environments. I want to remain a customer and developer of PowerApps, but there are significant challenges if you are like me and you have lots of apps which each use lots of custom entities. Remaking all the entities, and re-adding all the entities in every single app, and then re-saving it onto a new environment will give me access to new security features. But there is no easy way to do it.

The export function does not work on legacy. All I want is to get my fields copied from legacy to a new environment. If I can just get that, it will save so many hours of labor.

The blog says:

"Custom entities and customizations to standard entities will need to be manually recreated in the new environment, because there is currently no way to export them from the Preview environment."

Is there going to be a way in the future? If so, are you thinking near-term, and if not--why not?

Save attachments to SharePoint list item

by KREI on ‎10-14-2016 01:26 PM

Hello,

My main blocking point right now, is that I can not attach files to SharePoint list via PoweApps edit forms.

I can create app which can manage orders in SharePoint list for my company in few seconds, but we are forced to keep original email request in list. For this we are using InfoPath which works fine, but PowerApps should be much more suitable solution.

Also we are using same procedure but with excel forms, for that is also important to be able to EDIT excel/word... attachment directly on SharePoint. So what I would like to have in DisplayForm/edit form, when I click on excel file attached, it will open my excel, let me edit it and save it back directly to SharePoint like is possible now with forms on SharePoint.

Once I will have those 2 things in PowerApps, my live will be much more easier! Smiley Surprised

Would like to use PowerApps in our company, but right now... its not possible

it would be nice to be able to use this to request data from individuals not within our company - and submit that data into a sharepoint list.(or SQL)

Offline mode

Provide some sort of cache to allow offline input and let it sync afterwards

PowerApps fx function bulder.

Writing complex functions are very difficult, why not adding a function builder tool to help on that.

Browser or Desktop View

by BrianHayes on ‎10-25-2016 08:44 AM

I know that Microsoft is in the mode of mobile first, but when will browser / desktop views be available? We have built some complex forms and views using InfoPath and PowerApps is a bit limiting in this regard.

Hi, currently CDS boolean fields do not have a default setting.  Please add this for obvious reasons.

Thank you.

✅ Barcode Scanning

Adding barcode and driver’s license scanning would be a great addition for warehouse and banking applications. Both are standardized and would allow for less manual entry.

Add ability to quickly add a PowerApp for Sharepoint Calendars that is as easy to use as a PowerApp for Sharepoint Lists.

If you have assigned a value to a numeric field (in Sharepoint for example) you cannot delete this value or update it to null/blank

While designing screens, ability to select multiple controls and edit/set common values.

Example - form with 6 buttons, ability to select all 6 and set DisabledFill or Y values in single operation.

Should save some design time.

Printing

by Community Support Team on ‎04-26-2016 02:37 AM

As this is designed for ENTERPRISE, printing from the within the APPS will make PowerApps superior to Excel and even ERP / SAP system.
If ONENOTE can be accomplished (for printing) after our request, why not PowerApps.

Common Data Service data link to Word

by Graham on ‎10-31-2016 08:09 AM

It would be really useful to be able to access entities for mailmerge documents in Word. Or at least create a View (as in SQL Db) from which Word could read the data across multiple entities.

Indeed, innovative non-developers have great ideas and this tool empowers them to easily build UIs with my APIApps for a backend.

But with ease of use comes limitations - inevitably many PowerApps will need functionality that the PowerApps designer cannot handle. At this point the app needs to be exported and extended using Visual studio or other dev tools.

With Siena this was somewhat available by cracking the .appx.

We need this or better for PowerApps.

On making the connection, I only see Tables, not Queries. This cannot be workable as Tables usually have many IDs and IDs are meaningless, Connection to Queries is a must: same as Excel and Power BI.

It seams that you can let your organisation use the app, but I would love that users outside my domain also could get and use the app. That might be some of our customers f.i., so "Send invite" through email would be great!

Currently, lookup fields of Sharepoint list are not appearing.
This is a major limitation.
Lookup fields should be displayed and set to the LookupValue.
Ideally LookupId should also be accessible in a second field.
