Android Studio 2.1 now available as stable

Built on the speed and features of Android Studio 2.0, the stable release of Android Studio 2.1 includes updates so you can try out new features and APIs of the developer preview including the new Jack compiler and Java 8 language support.

In addition to support for the N Developer Preview, Android Studio 2.1 also includes performance improvements to Instant Run which leads to faster edit and deploy build speeds.

Dear Reto,

I am a team member of 飄移車神. I am writing this mail to you because we think we deserve to be featured. Here are our reasons:

1. There are rarely outstanding games in Racing Classification, and we believe we’ve done a fairly good work.
2. As for our game, its graphics and controlling are of top level, if only you have a try.
3. The game offers a real time online racing experience of multiple players. Up to 8 players can race in one track at the same time.It also support a world server (e.g. all players in one server).
4. We care more about player experience than making money. You can find out with a brief tour that, though we encourage interaction among players, yet we have much fewer IAP than other MMOs.
5. We infused all our passion and energy in this game, our team spent more than 5 years researching and developing this game,we are sure you will love it.

4-steps to getting a blank Android Wear watch face
As of Android Studio 1.1, we have added watch face template to Android Studio so a blank watch face you can customise is only a few clicks away! Here’re the steps:
1. Start a new project or open your existing project
2. If your project do not already have an Android Wear module, create one! Select File > New Module…. In the wizard, select Android Wear as the module type and no activity.
3. Right-click on the module name on the left hand side. Select New > Wear > Watch Face.
4. Select whether you want an analog or a digital watch face.
5. Done!
You will get a skeleton watch face which will take care of the basics for you like automatically adjust for time zones changes.
