The bridge of her nose broken,” Keith Papini told Good Morning America in a statement. Shasta County Sheriff Tom Bosenko confirmed the injuries to GMA, but said investigators have not determined whether Papini was “thrown” from the vehicle.
The trip to Medellin, Colombia, was supposed to be a joyous one for the members Chapecoense, a soccer club from the small city of Chapeco, Brazil, and they were in the middle of a fairy tale season. If there’s one thing that Floyd Mayweather wants you to understand more than anything else, it’s that he doesn’t have to fight for money ever again. Some rumors have him tied to UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor while others link him to a return bout with Manny Pacquiao. “Gotta love these backseat drivers so worried about another man’s legacy instead of trying to write their own,” Mayweather posted in response to the rumors about his return to the ring.

Scientists have claimed that massive oceans are hidden up to 620 miles beneath the surface of the Earth. These mysterious bodies of water could even hold lifeforms so unusual that some scientists would regard them as aliens. Steve Jacobsen, a researcher at Northwestern University in Illinois, said a part of Earth’s core called the mantle could contain several oceans’ worth of water. The deepest of the subterranean seas is believed to stretch about a third of the way down to Earth’s molten core. “If it wasn’t down there, we would all be submerged,” Jacobsen told New Scientist. Jacobsen found a diamond in Brazil that contains imperfections that could only be formed in the presence of water. “This
DEAR ABBY: I recently started seeing a self-made entrepreneur. He’s intelligent, and basically the most amazing man I have ever been with. Because of his position and stature, many beautiful and sophisticated women throw themselves at him. A friend of his told me that in the months that I’ve known him, he has had sex with at least five other women, several on the first date. I’m not angry about it since we never formally agreed to be exclusive, but I’m in love with him and want him all to myself. When I confronted him, he said that because he never had success with women previously, he is prone to seduction. He said they didn’t mean anything to him and that he wants to be with me. I have dropped
Ed Rensi Mr. Rensi is the former president and CEO of McDonald’s USA. As the labor union-backed Fight for $15 begins yet another nationwide strike on November 29, I have a simple message for the protest organizers and the reporters covering them: I told you so. It brings me no joy to write these words. The push for a $15 starter wage has negatively impacted the career prospects of employees who were just getting started in the workforce while extinguishing the businesses that employed them. I wish it were not so. But it’s important to document these consequences, lest policymakers elsewhere decide that the $15 movement is worth embracing. “I saw this woman with long blond hair in the right shoulder of the freeway and she was waving a piece of fabric that looked like a shirt, waving it up and down trying to flag someone down,” the woman, Alison Sutton, tells PEOPLE. “It was obvious: She needed help,” Sutton says. Sutton and her 14-year-old daughter had already been on the road for eight hours en route to a Thanksgiving celebration.
