I think Netanyahu understands very well that the Trump administration neither has the stamina nor the will to fix or supplement (French alternative) the deal. It rather needs a very public win, showing that Trump is keeping his word.

Though it is clear Netanyahu's play is not to convince the world Iran cheated as much as to push Trump over the line. This is not a rational argument about a very technical deal, it is (and has been for a while) a political one where points are score publicly.
