This category lists notable writers who publicly identify, or who have been reliably identified, as homosexual men.

Sometimes this is because they have written about the nature of same-sex love and desire using fictional or autobiographical or journalistic forms. Not assuming that these narratives are necessarily representational of LGBTQ realities but that they are mimetic of "plausible (imaginable) relations"^[1].
