What would you like to see us add to this API?
Add a feature where you can view images from different years based on Street View images that are available with the timeline feature.

To clarify, I assume you're looking for a way to specify the date to use for SV image requests? And/or a way to interrogate the available panos for a location?

The Street View API does support the time machine panoramas as long as you know the panorama ID. e.g. https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/streetview?pano=I22ZMBNYrAiOFV_DhFV2ug&size=600x400&heading=140

Hello, I have a question:
Given that you know the most recent URL for a Street view image, is there a way to recover the URL for past images WITHOUT knowing the panorama ID of the past ?

It is possible to access GSV images of different time periods if you know the pano ID. However, the problem is how to get the pano IDs of one location in different time periods. Current version Google Maps API makes it is possible to get the pano ID of current (may be not current, but one time) pano ID.
