Okay, but WHY did no one tell me about Cobb Hill?! They're owned by NewBalance so they make extremely comfy but cute shoes?? Seriously, I feel like I've been missing out. I was nervous about these, since they cost a pretty penny, but the reviews were all so good, I had to try them. I ordered a size 9, which is my usual size, and they fit just a hair snug, but I know since they're leather, they'll stretch out a bit as they are broken in. I've only worn them around the house so far but I'm hopeful that they won't rip my feet to shreds when I wear them for real. The one thing I'm not a huge fan of is the velcro for the strap, but I guess it's easier to adjust than a button, so it's not a huge deal.

The Vans Authentic Pro is a shoe that turns an iconic sneaker into a more durable and skateable shoe. The Authentic has always been one of my favorite shoes to skateboard in but too often lacks in durability due to the canvas uppers. The additional features that improve on the original are the duracap under the canvas upper and also the outsole, UltraCush removable insole, and the Vans pro-lite construction sole. I was extremely excited to get these shoes but they take some getting used to because they fit differently than classic Authentics due to the insoles/soles being different. I was slightly disappointed because they weren't as comfortable as the originals and sometimes even hurt. Hopefully that is just part of the break in period. Overall these are decent fitting shoes that are nice looking and feature much appreciated improvements.

These were great! My son went through a phase where he wanted everything "cowboy" & these were perfect! We love the attention to detail & the fact that they were comfortable too! Highly recommended

I waterproofed these shoes to wear at an outdoor function where the grass was damp. They came though like champs. No sigh of moisture on shoes. The problem was the ankle strap keeper. It was so flimsy, it fell off and the strap was sticking out every which way and looked bad. I got some velcro at the craft store to hold the strap down. Problem solved. I love the shoes, but was ready to send them back. Now I don't have to. BTW I got tons of compliments on the shoes and I think they made the outfit.

I thought these shoes were attractive and I especially liked the softness of them. Some of the short boots I have tried on feel so stiff and uncomfortable. I'm still trying to figure out why some shoes offer a wide when the wide is as narrow as a medium if not narrower. I have yet to find a wide with short boot that is actually wide enough for my feet. I have bunions and need a slightly wider toe box and some regular size 9 shoes actually work whereas most wides I've tried do not.
I walk a lot but don't want to wear sneakers every day-if it were up to me I'd go barefoot! I'm still trying to find a fashionable comfort shoe that doesn't look like a comfort shoe. I thought this one would work :(.
I will not be keeping these boots as they are too narrow and actually feel a little smaller than what I would expect in a 9. We all have different feet I realize. I just shop around until I find a brand that works. So far Dansko and abeo have worked for me.
