While doing a development for one of my project I came across for one of the strange bug in IE9. 

Bug: The caret for infowindow is broken into square instead of a caret(triangle). It was not there few days back.

So according to us the bug is because of the transform property applied for caret sympol(transform: translateZ) this property wont work in IE9.

Any help is appreciated!
