Use case: a map with the standard map types *except* ROADMAP.

Bug: the map type control does not give access to TERRAIN.

I would consider this a specific manifestation of the deficiency of the new touch friendly Map Type control. 

The same issue exists for HYBRID (ie offering hybrid without plain SATELLITE ) 

The converse also exists, how to offer SATELLITE *without* offering HYBRID? The map type selector still has the labels tickbox. 
(Similally, can't offer ROADMAP, without offering TERRAIN)


... to solve it, means having to implement own may type selector :)

Possible workaround: create a copy the TERRAIN maptype and add the new (custom) maptype to your map. A "terrain" button appears in the control.
