On the political side of things, Labour really need to get their priorities (both nationally and with the Jewish community) sorted out. How about sorting out policy issue on #Brexit, the economy, foreign policy, before deciding on labelling kosher chickens

The issue of stunning and non stunning -massively overlooks the fact - that before and after stunning animals are treated poorly. Modern farming does not just have an issue with killing animals. It about living conditions and quality too... a label is really not going to solve it

..because most meat eaters do not know where their meat comes from (and I suspect most are blinded by that ignorance, to the point they don't check either.)
The logical conclusion of labelling is demonising Jews and Muslims who eat it - and hiking up already extortionate prices

As a vegetarian (I hate saying that) Jew, this is frustrating. The issue of stunning meat is widely and falsely interpreted as the answer to limiting animal cruelty. In reality labelling will not stop animal cruelty in kosher (or in indeed non-kosher facilities) 1
