Hello, I was hoping someone may know if the mark on this planter is a fake("reproduction"). I've tried to research it but can't get a feel for the correct answer. Perhaps someone has a book? Thanks so much in advance!
I've tried to find an answer to this, but I may have asked it wrong in the past.
Here is my question:
When an international buyer purchases something, I do understand the are taxes, customs, and higher shiping costs to get things there. We just simply ship to Kentucky (and hope it gets to Europe after that!).
WHY do we get such a huge postage payment from customers when we are just sending domestically? All the postage costs end up in OUR PayPal account. See example attached. This time will cost me maybe $8.50 in a Regional USPS Class A box to ship to Kentucky. I understand there is an additional cost from KY to overseas, but why do we get the payment? Wouldn't that be a separate payment that goes directly to Pitney Bowes that we don't even see? I never see any more money taken out of our PayPal for their shipoping costs.
I've often shippe it to Kentucky and give the customer a hefty refund (minus a little handling fee for my efforts!).
I did just lose a sale to Canada since the customer complained about shiping costs, and encouraged me to go to the post office and waste my time standing in line - which I refuse to do. Not the end of the world since I will selll the item soon enough.
Can anyone explain what is going on here? I'm confused why I get so much for postage, when it's so cheap for me to domestically ship across the country?
Thanks,
Tom

Why do I get so much for shipping when it costs less than $10 for me to ship???
I came across a superb Seth Thomas crystal regulator and, although it appears similar to the Orchid model, it does have differences, see pics.
It has a brass pendulum, chimes the half-hour and counts the hours.
The movement is engraved "R Kaiser" and it bears the ST in a diamond logo above the number "53207".
Can anyone identify the model name and/or number please? And is this an 8 Day, 15 Day or 30 Day movement..?
Thanks!
I swear I asked a long time ago I went through my old posts but it must have been a really long time ago I looked through the website and the first bracelet has the same square tube back but in gold and the front design is different Help please Thank you very mcuh for your opinions

I saw this in the Washington Post newspaper and got a laugh out of it:
Good morning everyone.
Radine
There is no tag with an RN number.
Does anyone recognaize this actress?
It is signed: With all my love Ethel Laraine 8/10/48
I am assuming that the actress's name is Laraine but possibly Ethel?
It's going to be one of those days. I can just tell. LOL

Good morning everyone.

Hi I found a few like ones on ebay but none marked with the number and I think none had the pattern on the back either Anyway I thought this was vintage/antique, silver and from Israel Was not sure what the number 06 was for but someone else emailed me and said they thought it was actually a 90 and meant that it had something to do with plating but they mentioned that it was German numbering What are your thoughts on this piece? I want to list it properly I also thought that the chain was married to it but I found one with the excart chain on it My chain is not marked I have not scratch tested anything yet and the magnet sticks to nothing Thank you for any help you can lend
Hi, hope someone can give me some info about this piece. It measures 55" long by 14 1/2" high and about 1 1/8" thick. I would like to know where it might have come from, the approximate age and the story the pictures tell. I'm posting the pic of the entire panel and then closeups from left to right. Also posting pic of the top and back. Any help is greatly appreciated. Someone told me it might be from the top middle section in the front of a Chinese wedding bed. I would really like some info on this neat piece. Thanks, Kay
I am shipping a 1lb 3oz envelope which I have done several times, by Fed Ex Smart Post and it always cost me $5.60 or close to that. Tonight it calculates to $15.26. What is going on with the shipping discount or Fed Ex? Have they increased their rates? No announcement about that on ebay.
Below is a screen shot (minus some HTML) of the shipping page. An inc. of $10 is quite too much methinks. Could it be something is not working right with the page? I have shipped several items in the last 6 mos. by Fed Ex Smart post all bet. 1-2 lbs and they all cost the same, around $5.60.
Another thing is when someone buys two items under a lb. and you combine shipping, the cost of one combined pkg. is more than the cost of two first class packages sometimes, as in this sale, I had 2 shirts sell weighing 11oz ea. and packaged together they cost more by USPS than if I mailed two 1st class packages with one shirt in each. That is why I was trying to ship by Fed EX which I have been doing successfully when something weighs 1-2 lbs because it was cheaper than USPS rates...until tonight. Anyone have an idea what happened?

Hello everyone,
This is a beautiful modern table lamp. I double checked the pattern and looks very similar to the murano lamps however unsure because the handpainted petal patterns are not the same. Please help with maker and pattern. Thanks!

Hello, I have purchased what I think is a kate spade soft rosetta handbag. It's stamped kate spade new york on the lock(?). I've never used it and would like to sell it but do not want to sell a fake. Can someone help? Sorry I could figure out how to rotate the pictures! Thank you.

I have the following doll from the 1960's. I know she does not work. She was mine. I am having trouble figuring out which doll she was (Tubsy? Hungry? or another one?). Let me know if you need more photos. Thank you in advance.
Good Morning !
I thought this was plate was by Indiana Tiara when I bought it. Now I am not sure, would it be Duncan Miller. It measures 8 inch in diameter, with a sawtooth edge.
Thanks in Advance, Sue
"We're writing to let you know that we've removed an item you recently won. Since you've already paid for the item, you don't need to do anything else. If your item hasn't arrived yet, it should arrive soon. If it doesn't, then you'll want to open a case in our Resolution Center"
The question is: Should I go to Resolution Center Immediately, or after my item arrives? According to my bad experience lately, this item could be a fake one too, so I don't know what to do in a case like this.
Besides that, I have one more question for you. Talking about bad experience caused by my own foolishness and stupidity, I already fall for a scam and won a bid on a "14kt" ring from China. The ring is fake. According to Ebay, I should make a contact with the Seller first. Before that I have to go through 2 options I can't decide which one to check: 1. I have a question about using my item or I want to send the seller a message, and 2.I need to return my item? What should I do in a case the Seller doesn't respond to me? All of this is new for me, so I apologize if these questions sound dumb.
Vintage ring can anyone help me determine the style I'm not sure if its native american, Mexican, or maybe Asian or French art,
I do think it is signed but it's so small and I am so blind when it comes to engraved marks so if anyone possibly knows the maker or any ideas how to list it if be greatly appreciate of ant help.
Hello!
Please help with identifying maker and pattern.
Spent three hours looks and no luck.
Can anyone ID this? No mark. Thanks!
I noticed a few weeks ago ebay significantly changed their revise listing page (either that or I just got opted into it a few weeks ago). The new page has a totally different "Multi-Variation Revision Pop-up" page. Most of it is different but fine, except for the sorting order of my existing variations.
For instance http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=221488100540 you can imagine how many unique variation combinations I have in this listing because of the various colors and sizes. They were all in an organized neat order... grouped by color and sizes in ascending order (S to L, or S to 2XL). As shown here in my edit page
Now after the change, the order of these variations combinations in the edit page has basically been all shuffled around and messed up. You can imagine how VERY frustrating it is for me to add quantity stock to these shirts. It's like a I'm doing a word search puzzle everytime I try to. Here's how it looks now (You can see the first 10 variations combinations don't match at all... It's supposed to start with Black, not Heather Green)
Can a Blue help me file a help ticket for this or anyone show me how to fix it?
Hello people!
I'm trying to figure this out.
Here is a tracking number for a recent sale I made: RR338299619HU
It's an item sold from Hungary to the United States.
Below a screenshot of the MyEbay page and then the USPS page. Does anyone has a logical answer on this? I greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
I have an Ernest Von Neschke Original painting of three ships A huge three masted sailing ship and in the back ground a cruise ship like The Queen Mary and what looks to be a Navy ship. the frame is 44x 32
What might be a good starting price or reserve price? Someone wrote "Purchased Direct from the painter April 27 1969"
It was framed
On eBay I can only find collectors plate with one of Neschke's ship.
I did a Google search and can't find a price for any of his paintings.
Any suggestions would be welcomed.
Thanks
I'm helping sell for a friend's estate and came across this odd item. I have no idea what it is, but it seems to be a tiny funnel on one side and a scoop on the other. Someone suggested perhaps it was used in an apothocary. I'd be thrilled to know for sure!
Can somebody tell me if I have a real or repro of this figurine, and, if real, how old it is? I've looked up a lot on the internet to try and do this myself, but it's all very complicated and a little overwhelming. Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi all!
What is this ruler and what years of production? Thanks for answers!
I found a set of these same type ornamennts years back, and most were half the size of this I think boy at 5 inches. There is two holes on the neck for a metal hook to hang him up. The details are great. It is heavy and super smooth to the touch. I would like to find out where they were made and age. Sorry he is still a little dusty and dirty. Thank you
can i list this button on ebay?
is it allowed?
long ago had a security badge removed by ebay.
so just making sure...
Hi everybody! Both these pieces are a bit of a mystery to me. Both are marked sterling, but no other markings. Both have rhinestones, and are gold toned. I'm not sure as to how old there are. I'm guessing at least Mid-Century. Thoughts? Remarks? Thanks
Good evening,
I found this bracelet a few years ago at a thrift store in Alaska. I think it may be made out of a type of bone. Is there any way to tell fo sure? I think it looks like it has some age to it but there is no way to know for sure. Thanks for any thoughts you may have on this.

Can anyone tell me the name of this sterling silver flatware maker? This fork is 5" long - is there a specific use for it, or would I just call it a serving fork?
Thanks.
I know this isn't the first or last posting on this topic, but I need to get this written down.
The policy by ebay that a buyer's feedback is "opinion" and can't be removed even when the facts are incorrect is as absurd a business policy as I have ever heard. Given that they are an intermediary and are only benefited by masses of buyers whether they are reasonable or not is the cause of this.
If it were eBay who were the sellers in these cases I am 100% certain buyers who leave negative feedback without contacting the seller and are not based on fact would be blocked. Since there is nothing lost by ebay in those cases, though, they allow individuals to ruin a seller's reputation with impunity. The only recourse a buyer has is to essentially beg the malicious buyer or to bring further attention to the negative feedback with a response. This EMPOWERS these buyers. They are the trolls of ebay and this gives them exactly what they want. They want to get pandered to and to get attention.
My example is I sold a book for 12.59 that has a price tag of 10.00. There was no shipping cost or taxes. The feedback was they got overcharged alot. That's just silly! Not to mention that selling on ebay isn't an altruistic activity, the idea that a $10 book shipped to you for 12.50 is a large overcharge is not based in reality. If that opinion is what creates a feedback discussion which creates dynamics where buyers are informed is just as silly. Additionally, this buyer never contact me and has only negative feedback left on sellers.
eBay doesn't care, and why should they. At this point they are so far removed from their original motto, "We believe people are good", it's absurd. Now it should be, "We believe the more people that use our site good or bad is all that matters".
I am not proposing a dramatic change. I am proposing that opinion should not be what drives feedback, it should be FACTS. Also, there should be a discretion on the part of people working at ebay to recognize when there is a toxic buyer affecting multiple sellers.
Hey all,
I just wanted to let as many people know about She wanted to buy it outright. She asked me to text my PayPal E-mail to her phone, and being new to E-Bay I did. This morning I get an E-mail from '[email protected]' claiming that she sent me 455.61, when we only agrees on 380, so 75 for shipping? She kept sending me borderline rude messages demanding that I send the phone immediately. That I send it via FedEx overnight. She was asking me to send it at 7am, before it was even open. So thankfully this sent up red flags for me. I investigated on E-Bay and discovered the account was opened same day I listed my item. So of course, I call paypal and the confirmed that THE E-MAIL WAS FRAUDULENT!!!
PAYPAL will never include your E- mail address inside the actual E-Mail. If you Google the number, there is multiple reports of scams.I tried to report to E-bay but all they said they'd do was report it on her profile, and they didn't even do that.
Can anything be done about "positive" feedback that is clearly negative or passive aggressive? Long story short, I received postive feedback that said, "damaged but I can make it work," or something along those lines.. he could've at least put that it was probably damaged during shipment, like I thought we established via messaging back & forth, and that I offered to take back the item and refund them, paying for return shipping just like I paid for the original shipping. Also, the fact that it DID work, without him tinkering with it... Anyways, anyone who reads my feedback will think that I sent it to him broken, and because he is such a genius, he managed to repair my dishonest doings..... I honestly do not know if this was on purpose or not, but how (if I even am able to) can I fix this?
I only have about 15 listings and was slowing learning how to list.
I thought I listed with fixed price for no fee, but now am getting charged?
Am I confused?
I want to purchase via BIN a small desk from a seller in PA. I live in CA. They offer long distance carrier shipping, but seem reluctant to do it. Told me they hate shipping. But they kindly got some quotes they said were too high (never gave me the quote amounts, just a ballpark) and offered to check with Greyhound if i could pick up from a local station. I responded i could. For two days i have waited for the Greyhound quote.
All along i have been grateful and hopeful and thanked them. But now, with no closure, they have quit responding. There are a lot of watchers and views, and the count rises daily. I suspect they are hoping for a local sale, but i do not know. I really wish they would just be straight forward with me.
This is a ooak antique piece unusual for its small dimensions and distinctive features; ideal for my limited space and a perfect match for my taste. I have searched a lot and for months locally and failed to find anything this size, or this charming. So, i am reluctant to let go of the possibility, if one still exists.
I tried to get a Greyhound quote but i do not have all of the information necessary to get an accurate idea.
what i want:
opinion, is this probably hopeless? If not, what is my best approach?
Any shipping companies that might help
Some words of wisdom to put my mind at rest. Such a perfect little desk for me.
Thank you.
I'm stumped as to what to call this. I thought it was a Candleholder, but the candle hole is only about 3/8 - 1/2 inch in diameter. Also the figure, is it a 'Nymph' maybe?? On the bottom it has 1998 Bergamot so possible pewter??
I will greatly appreciate any information. Thanks much, fire4jewel
I am really getting sick and tired of Ebay's issues. I have checked "Down Detector" and it seems the issue is not nationwide, but it may as well be so for me. I can't print, and I need to send it out today, based on a promise I made to the buyer. I have literally tried 30 times, from two different browsers, and two different computers. It all results in the same message that I have attached. I will keep trying, but if anyone else has had issues 10/15 in the AM with printing, please join my "pity party."
I won around 9 small items from the same seller
The combined shipping should be $9, but due to some problems the seller is unable to send an invoice, and requested that I purchase each item separately, and that the shipping difference will be refunded.
That's $27 in shipping fees! My issue is whether or not the seller will carry out the shipping difference refund. Communication also takes a while since they're overseas.
Now, I have several unpaid cases opened against me, with one already closed. I've heard that 3 or more unpaid strikes can result in a suspension of all eBay accounts, so my main selling account is at risk of closing down.
What should/can I do? Should I just wait to be suspended and then attempt to appeal the suspension?
I have contacted customer support, but they wont do anything about it.
I know for a fact I didn't buy or bid on this item because it doesn't show up in my history, but if I go to the listing of the item it tells me to PAY NOW
but the item is also not in my cart.
I'm extremely unnerved about this.
I can also provide screen shots if acceptable or needed.
Edit::
Item number : 152279008995
EDIT:
Solved, turns out my account was hacked form outside the US.
Thank you everyone for your help.
I have an auction with 2 bids but I got a great offer - how do i deal with this
I order the wardrobe and that sent me the wrong color i know that the item said black and thats what i was looking for. i dont have money to be returning no items. thats the second time this has happen.
Would anyone please help me out with the name on the attached tag? I bought this women's coat from a thrift store but am finding it very difficult getting the name right.
Thanks
I'm confused (again). I thought a reserve fee was $30 flat. I notice on my monthly bill a reserve fee charge for $31 and one for $40. Both auction was for pens, and the fountain pen reserve was $40. What's the computation, and how do I dispute something on my invoice? Thanks.

So, last week I decided to sell my Rolex. not because I dont love it but it is from a different era in my life. I listed it and to my wonderful surprise, it sold very easily....or so I thought...I received an email from ebay shortly after I accepted the buyers offer that stated the listing was deleted due to suspicious buyer and the buyer was no longer registered on ebay. No way for me to leave feedback for that.
So....I relisted my watch and got a few offers the next day. I waited about 24 hours before accepting any of them and accepted the one who had a history and some positive reviews. Today, the buyer contacts me by text, I was surprised but ok, I am new to ebay and maybe I missed that part while i was reading policies and such. He asked about the condition of my watch and I reiterated what the ad says and that yes, that is the condition. He says to check my email for payment confirmation from paypal. I got an email that LOOKED like paypal payment was pending but I never got payment showing on ebay nor in my paypal account. I kept checking and told the buyer it wasnt there. He said I had to enter the tracking number for payment to be released, that paypal wouldnt release the funds until I shipped it. I was very leary being dupped just two days prior by an illegitimate buyer. I sent the email to [email protected]. Paypal almost immediately responded with confirmation that it was in fact a "spoof". I have "reported the buyer" to ebay.
Now, I have to wait for the second day of waiting for payment to be up before I can do anything. I cant relist it, I can offer it to other buyers...Im stuck. How can I weed out these scammers? I just want to sell my watch. I am surprised at ebay really, I didnt think it was like that. Niavety on my part I guess. I also cant find a number to call ebay to have them to fix it...Im so frustrated! Anyone have any suggestions?
This is my first buy. I passed paypal verification, they increased my paying limits. Primaty shipping address in USA.
How to solve this problem?
Anybody know what time zone ebay uses when I schedule a start time on my listing to sell?
I was contacted by a buyer who wanted an item I no longer listed. I said I could not do transactions outside of eBay but could relist under Buy it now. They said OK that's what they wanted. I relisted and they did not make the purchase. Does that happen often? Was I played?
If i list a item at $250 plus 8.65 shipping And i get a best offer For $242. Is shipping added onto that amount of $242
When i accept. Or do i have to stipulate that in a counter offer. Thank you. I know this is a easy one but you cant get a

How do you set up your listing so the buyer must pay immediately to buy the item? some jerk bought my item but never paid, holding up my sale for 9 days either to eliminate competition, to make the item hold til prices drop, or just to be a jerk. How do I set it up so they can't do that again, so they must pay immediately or it stays listed? I couldn't find it on the help center. thanks
how do you know how much to charge for shipping when you dont know where the winng bidder will be from?
I bid on and won a few auctions from a seller.. Since there is written in the product's description that combining shipping is possible, I had written the seller asking if that is true. The seller answered: Yes, that's right.
After wining the auctions I clicked on Request total [on Saturday]. Since then I've been waiting for an invoice. In the items' descriptions there's written that asking for combined shipping has to done within 3 days and payment has to be done within 5 days but today I got email from ebay telling me to pay. I've also written the seller a message as a follow-up to the one she answered previously but I haven't received any reply yet.
I don't know what I should do and I'm afraid of being reported as unreliable buyer. I really want to buy those items, though.
I'm kinda new to ebay. Could you please give me an advice?
I am banned from bidding on certain items because I have 2 + nonpayment judgements in a 12-month period. What determines what items are not allowed...? is it based on the specific sellers who have that judgement against me? ---Jonathan caswell
I have a buyer who says that their item did not arrive, and opened a case without contacting me.
Tracking shows the package as being delivered on OCT. 12th and claim was made on the 13th.
UPS tracking states that the package was delivered and that it was left at the side door.
I sent the buyer a message and asked if they had checked to see if the package was at their side door as that's where it was left. They said that they do not have a side door.
My question is what can / should i do now. I am 99.5% sure that the package was delivered to the buyer and they are just seeing if they can get a freebie.
I figure if eBay steps in they will say that i have to refund the buyer and that i will never get my item back... because ya know, they have the BEST customer support EVER ![]()
Any and all input is helpful, thank you all in advance.
The buyer did not realize it was local pick up only. We have worked out the details for shipping and the buyer needs to pay - how does the buyer pay the additonal cost for shiping under these circumstances?
Can we do it? Someone gave me an ebay gift card and I was just wondering.
Hello!
Just yesterday, someone bought a computer from me for about $400. A few hours later, they told me that they didn't want the computer anymore, and to refund them. I did, using Paypal's partial refund option. This happened yesterday night. The partial refund says that it takes 3-5 days to appear in the person's email, so they haven't gotten their money back just quite yet. The problem is, I want to cancel the offer on ebay itself. So, canceling the offer refunds the person, of course. My question is: if I cancel the offer on ebay, and have already issued a refund on Paypal, will I end up paying the person a second time when calceling the sale on ebay?
Thanks!
I have an unfinished I'm calling it a Grecian water pitcher with Greek Priests in 3d design. It is approx 9.1/2" tall and very detailed. Is it right to say unfinished bisque? also is it Grecian style. Thankyou as always for your help.
I am listing an item for $75. I want to put insurance on it to cover the entire price. I know that if I ship Priority I automatically get $50 in insurance. If I purchase an additional $25 will that be added to the initial $50, or do I have to buy the entire $75?
If I pay for the standard USPS shipping (without insurance) and the item is damaged in transit or not received, who is responsible? I thought it was the seller's responsibility to make sure that the item arrived and arrived in good condition.
How do I delete photos and add others?
My auction is over in 5 hours.
Thank you.
Title says it all - ebay states that it will provide me with a return shipping label (or print my own and enter tracking info into the resolution center) for returns covered by Ebay's Money Back Garuntee.
For a brief period right after the case was found in my favor there was a printable shipping label available.
The case is now 'closed' (received refund via Paypal) and there is no option that I can see to print a shipping label with the seller's contact info.
I don't sell often but when I do I use ebays create postage label service that creates an aus post label. Ive never had any problems with deliveries through this service however I have a buyer who claims to have not received the item despite the tracking saying it was delivered. Ive told the buyer that i have submited an enquiry to australia post and told him to do the same. Im hoping that the item is found and delivered but incase its not im wondering wether or not I will be forced to refund them even though I did everything correctly on my end,
Thanks in advance for any help and sorry if this is a common question been reasked but i haven't found any information on this when using ebays create a label services.
I have someone who wants to buy my item. Still 5days to go on auction, no other bidders, and no "buy it now" on my listing. Can I accept an offer? I want to go by the rules.
I cancel an order because buyer bid and run. But a week later buyer paid the order.. Does a buyer can pay a cancelled order? I'm sure the order is cancelled.
I have relisted the item and someone is biding it. I don't know what to do next. Ship it and end the biding?
I just received a message on another account. Seems a gent bought a 15 year old out of print guitar music book for $8.00. He has currently sent me not one, but two messages so far....telling me what a terrible person I am and how "wrong" I am to rip him off this way. Why? The original publishers price on the back of the book says $6.95!!!! Oh my! Sometimes I just have to laugh! I have already asked him to return for refund. But he has declined...he just wanted me to know how "wrong" I was to do this.
Every day I read another thread about sales being down. This sort of behavior by some sellers might be part of the problem: I made a best offer on an item yesterday. Seller did not respond, no problem. Tonight, I opened email to find message titled "PAYMENT REMINDER". Body of email (sent at 7:30 pm on Saturday night) read:
"Thanks for your business! I am ready to ship the following item: XXXXXXXXX when I receive payment
Thanks,
Unfortunately, I can't ship the above until I've received a payment. Can you please let me know when I can expect a payment?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks!"
So, now I feel like I am being dunned for not sitting on my computer all day waiting with baited breath to see if I won a $12 item. I paid for all items I won today late this afternoon, and it was not there, so I assume that this message was sent right after seller accepted offer this evening. Again, it is Saturday night, seller obviously cannot ship the item as stated. I wanted to send a response, but didn't, I simply paid her and now added her to my list of sellers who no longer needed my business.
This is a board ID, have been on eBay since 1998, have always checked to see if I won (I use a snipe service to bid on auctions) each morning and evening, and pay for whatever I have purchased or won that day. Sellers (this is NOT a new seller) like this, who harass buyers are going to lose sales.
IF eBay is a LISTING service, then paying to list makes sense and like placing a classified ad, if nothing sells, too bad.
But, unlike a classified ad, if something sells on eBay, they demand a PIECE OF THE ACTION.
Why? They had nothing to do with the sale. The item did not belong to them. They didn't do anything more than they do with the items that don't sell. What service am I paying for on a sale?
I did not ask for all the help eBay forces on me. When I started, and something sold as it often did, I sent an invoice, eBay didn't. The payment was mailed to me, not through eBay's friend with another FAT FEE, and I mailed out the items without eBay's help.
It takes a lot of listings to sell anything on eBay now and a lot of work for little return. If I am going to be ripped off for so much on those rare sales, listing needs to be free all the time.
As it is right now, eBay seems to be all about listing and not about selling. Not unexpected from a company that sells NOTHING, but PRETENDS that everything sold on eBay is FROM eBay.
I have two bidders fighting it out over the one item I am selling....
ha ha good for me but......why don't they one of them just use a snipe service??
I'm worried they are fighting with each other, driving the price up too high, and it will not benefit me in the end.
what I am selling ?? its probably selling a little more than it should and I still have several hours to go...
recently as a buyer I did the same thing....was having a bidding war for something between myself and another buyer
I said ( to myself) WAIT A MINUTE!! went to THE sniping service, signed up and pow won the auction with 3 seconds to go.
We lucked into a large lot of new old stock Mary Kay Cosmetics this spring. I have never been a MK rep, have never sold MK items in the past and will likely never sell MK items in the future. Heck, I don't even use MK items! At any rate, we've had great success with selling up until recently when we ran into a couple of bad buyers. I have two negatives from accounts that I'm 99.9% sure are related. The first negative was left by a buyer who has mostly a sea of negative feedbacks left for others along with numerous revised feedbacks; the first for those of us who didn't refund on demand and the second likely for those who did. The second was from someone I originally thought was unrelated to the first (different, but neighboring states), until the string of messages revealed a writing style similar to the first. After the negs were dropped on me I received a message from another casual seller who had received negative feedback from the same buyers. They clued me in the person was a LARGE reseller of MK on the site, under another ID of course. They also shared this reseller had several employees who were quite prolific in malicious bidding. So far I've had numerous items bid on and then retracted, transactions cancelled, etc. I always comply with requests to cancel and then block the IDs. I'm about at my wits end trying to keep them off my back Of course I've reported all IDs to eBay with false assurances they would look into it, etc. Should I just give up selling MK and let it cool off? I'm not one to be run off but I can't stand for my selling IDs to be trashed by this person and her minions. Any ideas?

I shipped an item via USPS earlier today.
Just now, I found out this buyer is a eBay hacker / scammer.
Item is already on the way to him. eBay / PayPal / USPS closed since its Sat night.
What should I do ?
Please advise what I can do to get my item back and cancel this fraudulent transaction ??
Buyer had a return on Ebay, then he filed a chargeback on paypal. So he had 2 cases going on at the same time. I had actually tried to get the reurn closed because he had not shipped the item back but the foreign rep said after 5 or 6 days they couldn't. A seller has less than 3 days to repond to a case but no restrictions on buyers??? Well a couple days later a chargeback was filed. Makes me wonder if that rep. reached out to buyer. You know how they don't care about sellers. Well on the 8th day I called Ebay again and they closed out the return in my favor. Here's my argument reason code 53(Visa)stipulates the buyer must make an attempt to return the item since he said it was damaged or not working. I added a screenshot from my distributor which stated they didn't think anything was wrong with the device that the buyer simply did not know how to use it.
Having said all that I have no hopes of winning this case based upon past experiences knowing the bank who issued his card is the one who makes the final decision some 30-60 days later. Am I completely wrong? Can a seller win a chargeback when the buyer says damaged goods?
Ok, hostile buyer opens a claim as 'not as described' (ladies jacket) but her real issue is one of fit. I included detailed measurements in my description. In her complaint she mentions that it must have been altered because it doen't fit her.
She is very very angry - probably because I wouldn't automatically send her the partial (~45%) refund she asked for in her initial message to me. She still likes the jacket, wants to keep it and a $20 refund would correct my 'horribleness' as a seller. After reading her last 4 messages it is clear that there is NO WAY I can make her happy with any resolution.
What should I do now that a case is open? If I send her an address label for the return I may get the jacket back but I am certain to be gifted with a negative. Is there any point in calling a Rep on Monday?
TIA
After making an offer on an automotive part, I noticed that the pics of the part had a marked defect in the finish. I asked the seller to comment on the defect that appears in all of his pics. No response. Next the seller accepted my offer and I wrote to him again about the defect. no response. Now the seller has filed a non-payment claim. I do not feel I should complete the transaction until the seller responds to me about the potential defect. ???
It reflects the selling on this site.
eBay is allowing buyers to defraud sellers out of merchandise, then when you challenge the buyer and confront them with their lies, even though the buyer admitted to lying in their messages eBay still allows the fraudulent negative feedback to stick without regard to the evidence.
This is why eBay is going down the tubes, they have no logic in their process, their return process is flawed and they think it is the proper way to do business, this is why large amounts of fraud exist on eBay, due to eBay itself.
Okay the regular print ads on our ebay selling pages are one thing....
BUT these new VIDEO ADS are super ANNOYING, and DISTRACTING!
Hello all.
I have a question. I am a newer seller on Ebay and need advice please.
I had a listing up. With buy it now and best offer.
I had a buyer send a best offer and I counter offered...
A day later, the buyer had not accepted the counter offer....
The daughter (and a friend of mine) of the lady who's estate I'm liquidating came over and asked for a few of the pieces back. I had no choice morally but to let her have them.
I immediately got on ebay and cancelled the listing. Resulting in my counter offer being cancelled.
The lady I had counter offered to wrote me this morning and said she was turning me into ebay for not giving her 48 hours to respond to the counter offer I sent. :-(
I don't know if I violated any rules and what to do about it?
I did write her and explain what happened.
I don't want Ebay upset with me.
Any advise would help please.
