Long Island Watch

Earlier today, one of our customers asked which of our handwind mechanical watches that we carry at +Long Island Watch does Marc recommend the highest. The Orient Monarch (pictured) and the Seagull 1963 topped his list.
In addition to the Orient Monarch with the black dial pictured below, we also have it with a white dial. Just search for "Orient Monarch" on our website if you would like to see it.
The new Orient Monarch watch features an Orient Caliber 48C40 manual, hand winding movement with a 40-hour power reserve indicator on the dial. It has a black dial with white Arabic numerals as hour markers and hash marks on the outer seconds track. The silver colored hour, minute and seconds hands contrast nicely with the black dial.
The case size for this watch is 40mm x 13mm. You wind the watch with the crown to reach the 40-hour power reserve on the dial indicator. It will run for nearly two days before it needs to be wound. An exhibition window case back allows you to view the hand winding movement.
Note: The Orient Caliber 48C40 mechanical movement is hackable.
