| Issue 7445: | Bug: Presentation faults when using the signed-in feature of the v3 Maps API | |
| 2 people starred this issue and may be notified of changes. | Back to list |
When the info window first loads the text 'Can't save this place to Google Maps' is displayed. About a second later (the time varies) this text is replaced by the 'Save to Google Maps' link. Screenshots of the issue are here: http://www.mapchannels.com/screenshots/venuemap-signedin1.jpg http://www.mapchannels.com/screenshots/venuemap-signedin2.jpg I have a demo showing the bug here: http://www.mapchannels.com/testsignedinmap.htm It would look neater if only the 'Save to Google Maps' text was displayed. The bug happens with places which do not have a Google Places ID included within the place info parameters. This bug occurs in v3.18. in v3.x there is currently another problem, the 'Can't save this place to Google Maps' text is the only text to be displayed. The 'Save to Google Maps' link never displays. See http://www.mapchannels.com/testsignedinmap3.x.htm for a demo of this issue. An additional presentation bug happens when the info window text width is small the sign-in text gets truncated. Here is a screenshot of that problem : http://www.mapchannels.com/screenshots/venuemap-signedin3.jpg The truncation bug may be connected to the existing issue at https://code.google.com/p/gmaps-api-issues/issues/detail?id=5713 If it's not connected then this could be reported as a separate issue.
