If you hover over a Google map marker you should get a tool-tip pop-up displaying the marker's 'title' property. In Firefox this is unreliable - typically it appears when you hover over the first marker but not on most subsequent hoverings over other markers. (The bug can be 'reset' if you mouse-off the map and then back on again.) The problem seems to be worse if the markers are closer together. Not sure if there is any work-around until the bug is fixed? Demo: http://jsfiddle.net/spiderplant0/smffq/ My platform: Windows7 64-bit. Fault observed in: Firefox 8, Firefox 3.6 No fault in MSIE8

It should be fixed on all live versions of the API. If this is indeed a regression, please file a new bug using the Regression template, with a minimal code sample demonstrating the issue.

I've created Issue 4431. I wasn't entirely sure what you meant by the regression template, so I used the "Maps API v2 - Regression" option. Cheers.

I can confirm that this issue is not fixed (on Firefox 14). I have the feeling it was never fixed. I re-tested when the fix was announced and I still experienced the bug. I didnt immediately report it though, as I thought maybe the fix hadnt propagated through or something (as I'm not completely certain how the google bug fixing / release scheme works). Maybe someone could have a look at the code to see where it was fixed as I looks like the code change never made it through to the live version.

confirm the same issue width FF 37.02. works if I mouse-off the map and then back on or if I clic to show the infowindow.

Tested this with ff 38 on both Linux (Kubuntu 14.04) and Windows 8.1. Changing the zoom level or focus on the map displays the marker title but only on the first marker hovered.

Same problem with ff 43.0.1 and the last stable api release, it's not fixed! |
