The streetview "compass" seems to be exhibiting problems in some browesers. This seems to have started since resolution of bug 2389 , which corrected the streetview icon splattering across the image! I don't know if this is a directly related issue though! IE7 - Compass misaligned on page (image attached) Opera - Compass missing completely (image attached) Chrome - compass fine (image attached for comparison) Safari - compass fine Firefox - compass fine Reference page: http://www.doctorwholocations.net/locations2/nantfawrroad

Are you still seeing these problems? We cannot seem to replicate them.

Hi, have just checked and the problem is still present in IE7. I'm not sure if you were looking at my reference URL, I just realised that this page had the bug referenced in Issue 2594 and have just added the zIndex workaround to show the streetview window. Checked Opera and noticed that though the compass enclosing circle is missing a little "N" is present and you can rotate direction using it. (This problem is present in the test page in Issue 2594 - maybe its standard rendering in Opera. The IE problem isn't showing there, so it is an inconsistent bug).

Addendum: have access to a machine with IE8 and the problem is not seen in that browser, so seems to be IE7 only.

We can't replicate this in IE7. Are you able to make a test case that shows the issue happening in IE7. Thanks.

Hi, this was a while back! Have checked and the problem no longer seems to occur in IE7, so I guess this must have been fixed in the interim. Opera still has the missing 'circle' around the compass, though! Regards.
