Ashtabula County Totals

I cannot quite remember who Richard Duncan happened to be on the ballot. The caveat from the Ohio Secretary of State is very important to remember: "Results reported here are UNOFFICIAL. ALL official results will be posted following their certification. The county boards of elections must complete their official canvass no later than November 29, 2016." (emphasis added)

I've been ignoring the results for hours
2016-11-09T03:53:26Z via Pumpa To: Public CC: Followers
I honestly have no clue what is going on. The police and fire sirens have been going on and on for a while now. I don't have a triple-trunking scanner so I cannot listen to MARCS to hear what is happening.
I've been watching Milo Murphy's Law via season pass on Apple TV, caught up on Designated Survivor via TWC/Spectrum On-Demand, watched some NASA TV via their Apple TV app as TWC/Spectrum puts the NASA TV channel in a ridiculously weird tier that I'm not paying that much extra to get for just one channel, muted most devices that had notifications about politics, and am enjoying it.

Please remember that using any of my PPAs may result in the need for lots of apt-pinning. There are tests going on. Weird software can show up there too that causes unexpected upgrades if you're not careful or ready for it.

At This Point
2016-11-07T04:56:13Z via Pumpa To: Public CC: Followers
I'm more worried about the park levy issue put forward by city council (new ad valorem property tax levy on houses) rather than how the presidential election will turn out. Our parks in Ashtabula City aren't in the best of shape. If we don't find a way to maintain them ourselves, we really need to push ourselves to considering shared services through the Ashtabula County Metroparks Board. My fear is that we're too parochial to consider that.

The madness may be coming if there is a tie. Evan McMullin may force things to the House. Everybody will be brushing up on the 12th Amendement to the US Constitution soon, perhaps. See: https://pjmedia.com/instapundit/248264/

It merely took 10 innings
2016-11-03T04:51:59Z via Dianara To: Public CC: Followers
The Chicago Cubs won the World Series after 108 years. As to Cleveland...it came down to 1 stinking run. The final score was 8-7 Cubs.
At least it wasn't a blowout. Perennial losers provided a good show and showed GOOD baseball.

Something very odd is going on as the Cubs and the Indians are tied in the game currently. We are rolling into a 10th inning for the last game of the 2016 World Series.

I Need Your Help In Backporting
2016-11-03T03:21:08Z via Dianara To: Public CC: Followers

To measure interest in backporting Dianara as far back as Trusty, I need your help. If you visit http://pad.lv/1634324 you'll get to the bug shown above. You're looking for where it asks if the bug affects you. Please click on that and say yes to it if you want the latest Dianara available in Debian Testing/Ubuntu 16.10 backported to 16.04 & 14.04. That will not only help me get numbers but it also helps the backports team determine if there is interest.
Please DO NOT leave comments of any sort on the bug as I have to sort through that and it ticks off the Backports team while also making things slide downward on their priority list. Only mark in that particular tool whether or not a backport affects you. If you want a backport, then yes the bug affects you.

Well, this is cheerful

Here's a set of qualifications that are unique:
“QUALIFICATIONS:
A high school diploma and a minimum of two (2) years secretarial experience (legal experience preferred) -or- an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. An individual who poses a direct threat to the health and safety of himself/herself or others in the work place will be deemed not qualified for this position. ”
Where on earth did that last provision come from? I could use a job more local to home but I guess working for the local court system is extremely dangerous...
That should make you wonder who had the job before.
